    Hi guys,

I have been blogging for about 2 years and I know quite a bit on SEO. I just like to know from experts or people from this forum do you think Meta Tags are important and how much value does it has to Search Engines like Google?

Title tag is definitely important and Google puts more weight on it then people think. Keyword/Description tags are becoming less relevant especially for blogs and even more so for Blogger blogs.

Currently meta keywords are no more useful why you show, on which keywords you are targeting your website,

still meta description plays important role in getting good serps.

For Google, I don't think meta tags hold much effect compared to other search engines which are not so well known. Anyway, a relevant meta tags is always an added plus for a site.

The META keywords tag is practically worthless, though the META description tag, while not having any effect on your rankings, CAN (if used properly) increase your click-through rates significantly. Fortunately (well, only if you're in the business of making Web sites or optimizing them for the search engines), most people don't know how to use them correctly.
