paypal limiting many accounts today ????

i Just found out my paypal account was limited without any valid reason

thank god i didn have money in it just few cents.

i was really very careful in using paypal account ,glad it paid off

I informed to one of my friend and guess what ? he account is limited too

adding to it , another guys account is also limited to day and he lost some 400$

I didnt Do any Transaction on 14th !!!!

if you havnt checked your account today , better check it now ! and my account doesnt have any open issue

 

Friend u might have receive some funds or those cents that are sent may not be cleared funds.

If you are not doing anything wrong, just furnish them with the information that they require and that would do the trick. I do not think that when paypal mentioned 'Recent account activity' it specificially mean that it is '14 May 2008'. 'Recent' mean in the not too long ago in the past which can range from a few days to a few weeks.

It could also be that the person you have received money from or sending money to make be engaged in suspicious activities like currency exchanges or the likes.

It does not need to have any open case, it could just be a simple random checks or that the transaction that you had may look like they are breaching their acceptable usage policy. If you have proper paper work to back it up, you do fine. Paypal's biggest fear is that their system is used for money laundering or for illegal purposes. They have laws they have to comply to and they just need to make sure that their system is good.

Also make sure that if you receive money, make sure you have a Premier/Business account and properly verified with a bank issued credit card or bank account. Make sure that you are logging in from a paypal supported country. That when you receive money, you use the Request for Money or Paypal Invoices or Buy Now button option to receive money.

In short, if you are not doing anything wrong, you do not need to fear anything. In fact, I see the regular checks to be a positive point because I know they want to keep their system clean.

Hello SaTz,same probelm was alsowith me some months back. I was having 3 paypal accounts and all of them got limited on the same day with 140$ in total ,but atlast i mnaged to get it out from Paypal.

 

Limited doesn't mean all of your money is gone

 

Except most of the people who come complaining about being limited do not even provide their correct information to Paypal so the money is gone in those cases.

 

If all of your information is real you won't have any problems, just give them the exact information that they need and they will open your account back up

You cannot lose your money if it is limited unless you provided fake information (which happened to be so most of the time in this forum) or the money has been disputed by your customers.

The worst which could happen is that your money is frozen for 180 days while it sits out the 180 days allowable by credit cards chargeback to be initiated. If there are any balances after that time, you can withdraw provided you offer real data. It is not Paypal punishing you but if Paypal checks or withdrawal needs to be send to either your bank account or to your address/name listed in the account, if you use fake name or address, you will never be able to receive the check and it is not that Paypal does not issue it.

Did paypal allow bank withdrawl after account limit? It says you cant do electronically money transfer and bank transfer is done by NEFT (National electronically Fund Transfer) My 180 days are over in an account.

 

I believe it would vary from country to country. You cannot transfer funds to another paypal account but you can transfer it to your own bank account only. NEFT Is not a bad option, it sure is faster and cheaper than check.

 

Paypal is terrible, i do not trust them anymore with large sums of money. I only use 2 things:
- CCNOW (for auctions) simply great!
- Payoneer (low fees, super fast + a really sexy mastercard )

 

I religiously use Paypal only because it is very fast and efficient, and cheap, comparatively.

I process over $5000 from Paypal every month, and have not had a problem. The account was opened mid '07 and was limited about 20 days later, same message. I quickly shoot them the required information and completed the steps, and the limitation was cleared within 30mins of my last action, literally.

No issues ever since. I think the people who tell you to keep away from Paypal is because they get caught by Paypal for their malicious transactions/inability to provide legitimate information. If you do all your stuff right and can give them everything they need, you should not stumble upon any issues.

Good luck. I know their limitation of accounts may be very frustrating but if you're able to resolve it as per their request, it should be very quickly sorted out.

 

Whats happening guys,so many "My Paypal got limited" type of threads here in this section.

 

i got limited two times because of logging into my account from different ISP's..... but i had no problem remove the limit from my account.... i been using one single account from many years.... the only problem i have at paypal is getting fund from stolen paypal account.... but now that problem is solved too and i can keep scammers away from me.... anyway i think you need to submit that paypal want from you... just do that and after one week your account will be back to normal and in future just avoid loggining to your account from different IP address and ISP's.... or you will get limited again.... this is the main reason why many accounts get limited these days... i think this is a good option that paypal use now to protect your account from getting owned....

I really can´t understand why you keep praising PP ("In fact, I see the regular checks to be a positive point because I know they want to keep their system clean"). With those checks and limting accounts without reason they make many people loose money because they can´t do their business like usual. Also the time they need to unlimit accs again after docs are provided is UNACCEPTABLE!!! (10 days sometimes to check the provided docs and info?!?!)
