    Hi,

I have a forum that some forums are restricted access to GUESTS.

    01. So I guess that means GOOGLE also can't crawl (or whatever) those forums too?
    02. If I give access to GUESTS on those forums is there any chance to increase my revenue?? (which means GOOGLE also can crawl in those Forums >>> generate various ADS)

If u guys tested it please I want to know your experience. Anyway I need to know your ideas/ advises?

I'm guessing that with your restricted Guest access, Google wont be able to crawl those forums.

How about making your restricted forums visable to guests but not allowing guests to post?

Atleast Google can crawl those forums then.

Of course there is a chance you will increase your revenue. The more people that can see the ads the better in my opinion.

Just to let you know, Google adsence has an option to get into restricted areas to crawl.
I would suggest looking into it.

Google bots are not guests, they are bots. So yes, they will be able to crawl your forum (unless you restrict bots).

And you should allow guests to view your forum. A lot of people will constantly read, but never register.

have a look in the AdSense set-up. You'll find it there under one of the set-up tabs. It's not difficult to use - just type in page addresses as far as I recall.

if u restrict those sections from an SEO point of view bots will not be able to crawl those sections and will not get indexed

    FYI

    Just copy it from Adsense

    How to get started
    1. Enter an authentication rule

Specify an authentication URL and a set of parameters that will allow Google's web crawlers to access your content.
    2. Verify your site ownership using Google Webmaster Tools

We will direct you to Google Webmaster Tools, where you can verify that you own the site by uploading a file to it or changing the META tag of a file.
    3. View your improved ad targeting

When your authentication rule is verified, you should see better ad targeting on your pages. You can check the status of your authentication rules at any time.

If you're using IPB then you can create a "Bots" user group that is different to the "members" group. So you can give some permissions to robots but not to guests.
