U.S. Marine Jailed for Sexual Abuse of 14-Year-Old in Okinawa

"A United States court martial sentenced a marine to four years in prison on Friday for sexually abusing a 14-year-old Japanese girl in February, ending a case that had deepened anger over the American military presence in Japan.

He should have been jailed longer.

And why does America still have troops stationed in Okinawa?

 

Thats horrible. He should have got a much longer sentence than he did.

Thats just wrong... i agree 4 years is not long enough for a dangerous bloke like him. Sick.

 

What's worse is that, since he was sentenced by the American legal system, he'll probably only serve half of the 4 years he was given.

Doesn't really matter if one of the parties is unwilling...

But usually around puberty, which varies a bit from person to person.

In America, it's 18. And this is just sad. America has troops stationed everywhere.

 

It is rather disgusting that he only got four years for such a horrid crime.

 

It is some where around that. It could be even lower than that. But most western countries won't allow it legally. Only some muslim countries would allow you to have sex legally at that age.

 

People in military get away with many atrocities. He got caught mainly because he is an American. The soldiers from most of the third world will never be prosecuted, not even reported in the first place.

If it makes you feel any better, I think a lot of criminals feel the same way about rapists and child molesters. It probably WILL be the worst 4 years of his life.

 

And this is a good advice for all girls to keep themself safe.
i think girls should be more careful now.

 

If I'm the judge, I'll give him 40 years in prison to think about the sick rape he did. This unfortunate event is going to increase the japs' hatred towards Americans..
