Hi, I know this might sound like a really stupid question but, I am getting ready to start my first site Now this is a NEW domain name. Just on line for a few weeks I have a sig links in lots of forums. (Total about 1000 over 300 at one forum alone. 9 different forums) I have over 200 relevant do follow blogs to post comments on bookmarked. I have a friend who will give me a site wide deep to any page I want . (900+ pages) Plus I have a few sites set up to trade with me 5 Sites that I was lucky enough to get a free banner at. The site gives away FREE wordpress themes so my link is in 3 themes as Designer already and working on more as we speak. Not to forget all the Dir. I can hand submit too. This is not ment to brag I have just been doing my home work and reading a lot. How many do I do at once without hurting or sandboxing my new site? I have read somewhere someone said no more then five blog comments a day. NOTE: I make honest comments I do not spam blogs I would like to have the max number from those in the know. How many can I do in the first mo and so on? I know some of you here run tons of sites so this is old stuff for you and you have done this before. Please NOTE I have done none of these yet. Just putting my ducks in a row. Question. I would liked answered is STEP A Do This Step B Do This and so on. Thank YOU in advance for your honest Comments. Butterflies Forever Sami
Hi, That math don't work for me that equals only 1 a day 360yr. No way a lot of sites 2 yrs old 7,000-8,000 links and more. It has to be more then that. Butterflies Forever Sami
Too many links to your site is the best way to drive your traffic. I am trying to drive traffic to my site too. But the best way to get link is the content in your site. How do you do if you visit a site without any usefull thing, especially content. It is not good. I posted a lot of posts in some forum when I issue my site, but when the visitors come to my site, they reply that, there is nothing so see because it has a little thing to see, and I can not keep them in my site more. This is my thinking, how do you think about it.
You can have as many as you want but make sure that it's done properly and you are not using any tool that can get links quickly.
Did you do your homework and look into the backlink profiles of the sites ranking highly for the keywords you wish to rank for? That's the best gauge of the number of backlinks and quality of backlinks you will need to rank well for your chosen keywords. You need a solid backlink profile before you start building links too quickly. Generally, I would do 5 blog comments a day, your free banner placement, and submit to directories right out of the gate. After this, add in some of your low post count forum signatures each day till you list all 9 - saving the highest post count signature for last. This puts you at about 30 days. Then start calling your trades, one a week if they have many indexed pages (anything more then your current backlink count at Yahoo Site Explorer). Once you get around 1000 indexed backlinks, then consider the sitewide listing. The concept is to not build links as quickly as you can, but how can you add them at a sustainable rate which can be continued once your current backlink sources are exhausted. What I'm saying is you don't want to crash and burn but have a link profile that gradually increases over time - not a backlink profile that adds 1000 links a month for the first two months then 100 links a month after that. Good luck with your new site!
I think you are right you do need content to make a good site. Keep adding content Ok Yes I would like to do it properly That is why I ask the questions I asked. Now can anyone PLEASE answer my question someone that has some experience in this area. Step A Step B and so on. Thanks Butterflies Forever Sami

there is no limit for backlinks as long as it looks natural ... google won't sandbox you for having 100000 backlinks if it's all quality one ...
google cant really sandbox your site for having a lot of backlinks because in a sense it is beyond your control... anyone could link to your site by the thousands and what can you do to stop them? .. but just get backlinks in a natural manner... anything that is humanly possible should be okay...
i have found that using parasitic/free host pages is a good method of avoiding any link penalties in early stages of a site, for example if you build (say) 5 pages on sites such as hubpages, squidoo, weebly etc linking to your main site, then build tons of links as fast as you like to these pages. the ranking effect on your site is pretty much the same but no penalties
There's a lot of paranoia about rate of increasing backlinks. I agree with this poster that if you could get into trouble by having too many backlinks it would be too easy to kill competitor sites.
I kind of agree that heavily penalising a site automatically for having too many backlinks is probably not how it works. however a brand new site building thousands of backlinks a day would raise a red flag for sure, perhaps triggering a manual review? im not sure about that. What I am sure about however is keeping things natural looking in terms of link development is the way to go and generally speaking brand new sites dont generate thousands of links overnight without good reason, so if you do this you had better have a good reason
There's a huge difference between a new site and an established site. A new site getting backlinks too quickly, especially from questionable sources, can make it very easy for Google to apply some human intervention to the rankings. I've knocked new sites out of Google's SERPS with one sitewide link from a 10K site. Trust me, you can build links too quick or in a manner that does negatively influence rankings. @ Sami4u What's the quality of those backlinks? Are they sitewide links, forum signature links, etc? Do those links reside on high PR pages and what anchor text are they using? Are the backlinks niche related? That's something that needs to be determined in advance to adjust your SEO methods. Analyze your competitors in detail and follow a similar path that they have taken. You have the advantage because their backlink profile spells out exactly what has worked to get them to the top. Good luck with your new site!
Hi Al ot are sitewide liks on every possible pr you can think of. I really think about everything is used. I am setting up a wordpress mu site that offers free blogs for women all themes are women related. Also will be giving free themes away from the site. The one hope that I have is that my url is freewomensblogs.com I will have an area for info and my rants. But the main goal is still giving away the free blogs. I know that I have heavy competition in this area but I hope that my nitch for women will help me through. Any more thought or ideas are greatly appreciated Butterflies Forever Sami
I'm not sure if there's a quota to how many links you should build in one day. But you should start out building backlinks slowly and increase the amount of links you build as time goes by. The most important thing is to make your linkbuilding strategy looks natural.
you can have as many links you want but then they should look natural to google and you should do some link farming to just gain backlinks that may get u banned.Link buying is ok but should look natural to google and regardin g this there are so many articles here which are really helpful
