Fact check.
1. Iraq has/had nothing to do with 9/11 or with the insecurity of the United States.
2. This war is illegal and in no way related to our security.
3. Iraq was stable until we got there.
4. The sacrifices in Iraq were made for Halliburton and private contracting firms NOT the security of the US.

The war was not illegal. And what it is related to is the war on terror. President Bush issued a mandate shortly after 9/11. He said we would go after "the terrorists" and "the nations that harbor them".... That is exactly what we are doing.

As far as "terrorists" and "terrorism" in general, I believe you are incorrect. In Iraq, we're fighting Iraqi nationals who want the occupation over, and the Iranian sponsored government thrown out. In Afghanistan, we're fighting the Taliban, who are not terrorists, but the former regime.

We supported that Dictator when he tortured and terrorized his people. In my mind, that makes his crimes the last thing we of all people should be condemning.

This opinion doesn't hold water. Time and again, reports of al qaida deaths in Iraq, or senior leaders, comes to mind. al qaida was in Iraq before the war and has been since since saddam was defeated. I don't believe Canada is fighting in Iraq though. They are doing work there, training police.

Depends on what "we" refers to here. You may be part of an organization that did support such, I'm not sure. However, the US did not support saddam doing this and as a result of his actions, the US quickly started severing ties with him.
