Paypal hardly considers us buyers either.

I think it's better to say Paypal protects scammers in general. I've lost cases both as a seller and a buyer, almost every single time to those scammers. I feel Paypal staff are sometimes complete idiots. They ignore the evidence, ignoring common sense, ..

When you do business online with unestablished businesses, you are assuming a risk. Paypal should not have to play babysitter for everyone. This user that scammed you http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=137436 he has only 1 itrader, and only 87 posts, the one itrader was reason enough for me not to do business with him, $10 or $20 maybe, but not $100

I understand, but the itrader system is put in place so that we can know who is trustworthy and who isn't. When dealing with so much money ($100 is quite a bit) I would not have delt with him.

This is from my own experience after I won almost all claims people put on me

If you buying something make sure you sending the money as an ITEM like CD or Paper or something you can touch. If you put service or other you’re screwed.

If you then want to claim the money back for some REAL reason then all you have to do is to claim the stuff never arrived. He can not present a real tracking code (because there is none I even had a photo one time and still lost)

You will never get money back telling PayPal that service never happen or that that the gods did not look like you wanted them to.

The same thing the other way around if you selling something make dam sure you send HIM a PayPal request asking for a service or electronic goods then when he claim he will loose 100 %.

I had 10 claims with PayPal and I got money back one time even when I lost because I said the guy is selling warez and scam on DP forum. PayPal paid me back with their own money.

Another time I was in the same situation as you and I told PayPal where I should send the lawsuit and what lawyer I should contact to talk to them. 24 hours later I won the case.

You can always win with PayPal you just have to play with their rules.

Sorry for any grammatical error it is to early for me here and I have not eaten breakfast

    Hi,

Just out of interest, as ive ready MANY of these before, correct me if i am wrong but surely this would serve as some PROTECTION.

    1. Buyer sends you payment.
    2. You receive paypal email address from which payment was made.
    3. You write to buyers paypal email address confiming that the payment is authorised
    4. If all is good you should get an email back from the buyer saying "all is good"

    Just a thought ;)

Thanks for the great post bro.

But paypal's authorization system is not well. They suddenly freezing seller's account without even a confirmation.I got my account limited too due to this issue. Also paypal freezed 10 payments i made to my workers without my consent.

Most of us can't compete with paypal always as lot of factors behind that including country, timezone etc. While we are selling digital goods,we lack the documents like bill of exchange, buyer's consent letter,Buyer's contact info and so on.

I'm shifting to Alertpay now,as i don't wish to be scammed again.:(

Most of the times, deals happening in a hurry. So we won't get enought time to verify whether he is authorized or not. What we can do is only Pray to god to kick those scammers out of DP.

Yup.It's a shame for us too,as DP is the world's largest community forum. It'll affect the reputation too.
