Things i 've done so far 1. Article writting 2.Through email signature 3.Social bookmarking The above 3 things are what i've done to generate traffic. It helps =)
Okay, I focus on SEO and use Articles mostly myself, so I can't really offer too much in the way of traffic generation ideas. There's always social marketing, but that traffic is hard to convert unless you've really studied social marketing in depth. What I might be able to offer is some pointers on maximizing your article efforts. Most sites where you submit articles allow you to create an author's page too, which is another way to get a free link back to your site. It's not great for direct traffic, but will help with SERPs, so long term traffic. Also, most article directories also publish author RSS feeds. You can grab those feed URL's and submit them to the tons of RSS directories that are out there. This will create tons of inbound links to your articles, which should all be linking to your web site(s). Again, it's not going to create a lot of direct traffic, but it will help you improve your SERPs for the long haul. Think of it as funneling links from all those directories to your articles, then to your site. Anyway, that's some things you can do to squeeze a little more SERPs and traffic value out of submitting your articles. Hope it helps.
I would focus on learning the basic elements of SEO, as well as social networking. You mentioned article writing, that's a pretty good one too if you write well.
I published my first article on the web in 1997 (Gee I'm feeling old these days), and basic on-page SEO is something I guess I began paying attention to when Google took over the search industry. Couple years ago Good luck with your efforts
Articles are great. Many people focus on 1 niche but I like to go all out.. millions of articles on a lot of different topics. Keeps the traffic coming.
Why are yall leaving video blogs out of your list? In the amount of time it takes to write a good article, you could film, edit and upload several videos to youtube, metacafe, dailymotion, yahoo video, myspace and google video. In the description of the video, you could post exerts from your written article. If you are only witting articles and focusing on SEO, you are reaching a small portion of your potential readers / viewers. Its one thing to read a blog, its a totally different thing to hear the person tell you how they really feel. There are things you can do in a video blog that are impossible to do with a written article / blog. One of my blogs was filmed in the woods, next to a stream. You can hear the birds and see the running water of the stream. You just can not convey stuff like that in a written article / blog. If you want real attention, you have to do something different.
The ideas above are good. I have used them all. I'll add to the mix RSS Feeds. I continue to get a lot of visitors from RSS Feeds. Rich
Article writing in itself is not a form of marketing, how you present it to people browsing the web and how you pull them into your site based on the strength of that article is the question.
article marketing is great for long term traffic. however with more and more people writing articles its becoming competitive. So be creative and make people want to read your article.
I would start with SEO, once your site is indexing in Google and other engines you can really push for article submission, the reason I stress SEO first is because a well SEO'd site is a well thought out site with lots of useful content that will keep your users coming back and draw them in, throwing up an article on a site and having it direct to a page with 20 articles and little else will more than likely cause users to refuse to visit your site again, give them tons of content though and they may have it in the back of their mind to come back and check it out again. If you don't have 1000 articles or even 100 I would make sure your RSS FEED is very accessible, I sometimes will find an amazing article on a new site and RSS it and from there see if the site progresses or dies with very few postings.
When u vill know the answer of ur Q plz also tell me.....coz i also want to increase the traffic of my site... Mobiles007.com
I use articles, press releases, videos, getting and using social media accounts, creating joint ventures, having a blog, etc. The key is trying to build an identity as an expert in a certain area (for me, it is business strategy, development) - then it is simply easier to get noticed in an endless sea of IM entrepreneurs.
Maybe i should try doing this too seem like it can get good traffic too thanks for the sharing =) The content of the article indeed is the most important role which attract people. I agree with what you had said. I agree with you SEO will drive traffic too but can tell me how you make sure RSS Feed is very accesssible ? The above methods u mentioned above are good methods which will drive traffic too thanks for sharing it
For a blog this is one way you can get some free traffic SEO is also a fantastic way, but one of the most important things is don't rely on just one source!
