Yeah i can agree with Blitz in that he could of used the money to launch more projects but once you have something that you have worked on for such a long time it kinda becomes a part of you. You can identify yourself with it, you watched it grow and become everything it is at this point. That kid had the site since he was 12 yrs old, so i can see why its so hard for him to let go of it.
now that site gets redirected to another website. funny. Is it really worth that money or just a publicity stunt?
It was posted by The Sun, a Rupert Murdock gutter press tabloid in England lol. The guy is from my home town too. He should have taken any money he could get for it at the time, now it is basically worth reg fee only lol.
What a retard, looks like he still works at comet. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=109375015
I see where he was going BUT this 2500/mo might be better... Why? Well, no big taxes, also he won't blow all his cash.. And hes having fun running his website
The only way I would sell a site I owned to a big franchise like Google, is if I would stay in charge. Google did that for Youtube, Chad Hurley and the rest of the guys still stayed in high power in the site... But I would never take 8.5 million pounds, one reason is I am from the U.S., if I would have to walk away from the site...
