Do i have to process a refund or tell him the way he can get refunded? Am i allowed not to say anything, and let him find the way he can get refunded on his own?
If you are a publisher - you should process a refund. Make sure that you email the customers asking if he/she wouldn't mind giving you a reason for the refund - however make it clear that the refund is being processed... ... Maybe the reason for the refund could be fixed... so other customers will not ask for a refund for the same reason. Alex
probably not but you will piss off a lot of people and you will get listed on scam alert sites! Then eventually CB would probably contact you Forward the "CB Sale" email to and your done.
Why go that route. Read the last post. I have always found it best to always process the refund then see if you can find the reason then fix it. It gives you credibility. If you refuse the refund and the person who bought the product likes to spam forums and blogs about such and such person screwing them out of a refund it would do more damage. It would be better seeing ... product was not for me but all my questions were answered and promptly refunded. That way any future prospects who are researching your product can see that you are true to your product!
then tell me why pspblender is a top-promoted site? ive read on those "scam alert sites" they never refund when a customer contact them. However cb has done nothing about them.
It seems to me you want to circumvent the whole process. I would be more concerned about the customer. Not more concerned about those other sites. If you stick your head in the sand on this one based on the information you see in this thread one of your future threads may be. Why Did CD Close My Account. You just have to ask yourself if the risk is worth it.
ok im going to assume you are talking about this product: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=839303 You said in your main post that its "okay" converting. You then later said you got your "first sale". How was it okay converting if you had not made a sale? I am assuming it's this first sale that you do not want to refund? 1 sale and 1 refund is not a good start and this is probably why CB never wanted to approve your product in the first place. Just refund the sale and dont give CB a worse name, it only makes converting other CB products harder.
I try to make sure that the page won't refund first of all, like have a great members area. also state your Refund Policy very clear. If you say, Refund No Questions Asked, then refund no questions asked. If you say if you don't make $100 in 1 month, then I'll give you a refund, well then it gets more tricky. Any ideas on how to make the last guarantee work. Vene
you could say "If you can send me solid proof that you have tested this system, tried my methods and not made any money after a month - I will refund every cent of your investment. That's how confident I am that my program works" Another way to reduce refunds is to offer unadvertised bonus products.
yeah I would do something like swerd said, and again just put together a BA members area that oversells what you promised.
Actually i have 4 sales by now. also i had sales before but with paydotcom, not clickbank.... You guys claim some products are scam, but when you look at things like water4gas, its just the same scam, except the guy only notice hes been scammed when his car break, and not when he open the product for the first time. it also all depends of your definition of scam. I ask them to pay to give them access to anime downloads, which is EXACTLY what im doing....where is the difference between giving the downloads directly and giving access to a freeware wich has them? the outcome is the same...the customer gets what he paid for.
no no, im not saying its a scam. I also have a DL product. To reduce refunds tho you can offer some good bonus's and if somebody asks for a refund you should give it to them right away, regardless of wheather you think other products do refunds or not.
i would rather wait a week or two before refunding. if i refund NOW, my "$/sale" will fall by 25%, under my competitors...not too attractive....im got a gravity delta of 3 for second day, which is not too bad. but if im planning to agree to the refund, i will do it when i have at least 10 or 20 sales.
When a customer asks for refund, it is better to refund the sale. You can simply click on the refund link in the sale notification.
If you may the customer mad, you might regret it later on. Internet is a pretty big game my friend, you have to be really be carefully with it. If this customer decide to give you some bad reviews, you might have a lot of trouble getting conversion from your site. Just give him/her the money back and move on. If you don't get refund it simply means that you are not trying hard enough. Ask that person why he wants to have the money back and then try to improve the weakness that you have in your product. That's the best thing I can tell you so far. Mega
he just says its because he cannot download the product. but i believe its just an excuse because the product isn't what he expected.
Then tell him if he cannot download the product, it would be your pleasure to assist him with this matter. Give him your msn or something. If he won't do it, now you will know exactly that he is just trying to get the money back
