I'd like to get some feedback on my idea / design / etc. on my Open Blog Project. It's one of a kind, I mean, quite literally the only website that offers what I do (as far as I know). It allows the public to post blog entries for free. Acts as a Blog Wikipedia type resource that is search-able. Provides news, updates, information, resources, and just plain discussion. Heres the link: http://openblogger.com Update- There will be a classifieds section on the site as well. (Free)
It seems like a good idea, but I wonder why someone would want to post in another persons blog, most people have a hard enough time filling the pages of their own blogs
Thanks for the reply - To answer your question, its not filling in on another person's blog, its more of a community resource than anything. Its not meant to be owned by anyone, just the community. Think of it like a blog-forum. And most of our users so far either don't have their own blog or will sometimes post duplicate entries from their own blog to gain more presence. Thanks for the input! Looking to hear more..
It's a good idea. But I don't see why I should post at your blog. It's not unique either - I've seen several news sites offering this type of blog. They pocketing all the bucks and the "silly free bloggers" get nothing. Good luck anyway?
Caj, Thank you much for the opinion, you have a really great point. Definitely not the first comment similar to that. If I had to answer, I could almost agree with you. But how its different is the amount of content that can potentially be generated in a day (which all of it is moderated for quality), can act as a big public resource for information. Its more of a community than a free blogger giving up his or her content to a bigger power...
