Having worked as a network administrator at a uni I must tell you that most of the admins don't have the time and luxury to subscribe to proxy newsletters, yahoo groups etc etc. Most of them work reactive and have some content filter systems that work proactive because of the lack of time.

Well I have (had) a few on my mailing list. Some of them used their schools email address and were swiftly removed; some of them used hotmail addresses. I know this because the fuckers emailed me demanding that I stop the reckless action of sending new proxies to their students. That’s happened a few times in fact. Apparently its endangering the students safety in some way (!?!)

Some network admins in schools are well on the ball. I was reading an article not long ago about a guy who writes scripts to analyse Internet access log files to search for potential proxy sites. That’s pretty hardcore for a school techie.

Seeing as proxy.org wont list any of my proxys, is there anything that realistically compares?

PLease please do not spam me to death with your own 2month old "topsite"/"proxylist" site.

I spent a day submitting a proxy to about 30 of such sites and got a couple 100hits in day one.

I submitted another to proxy.org and received a few 1000 hits in day one. (people use proxy.org to add to their mailing lists etc)

So you are not caring about the type of traffic then? As a most of the traffic from proxy.org is middle east and china. Could you share how you make money off this traffic. Because my proxy.org listing yielded about 20 a day and I have geoip blocking on my server. I would say if that is the type of traffic your after promote on yahoo answers and do some of the proxy group promotions offered in the service area

Ok Any advice with setting up adbrite?

I have loads of proxy sites, so should I use the same code for all of them or keep adding new sites to the publisher account?

So far I've got it to earned between $2 - $5.00 on Mon-Friday, at weekends gets $1-$1.40

    Around 200-300 Uniques / Day

I have a theory on why adbrite earnings have decrease within the last couple weeks. I think they might be serving to many CPC ads which will hinder the CPM ads, hence the loss in daily earnings.

I've check my adbrite Ad stats and i saw many many many CPC ads...

Thats just a theory but a reasonable one, can someone confirm this please?

I highly recommend the glype proxy script (http://www.glype.com) I have tried glype, zelune and phpproxy. Nothing beats glype's speed and little bandwidth consumption. Glype also works with more sites

I noticed this too, inlines are gone now on my zones also. What the hell is going on with adbrite?
This is losing me alot, was getting 100 clicks a day with the inlines.

maybe they changed their strategy or the advertisers don't want to pay anymore, maybe the traffic is not converting well

Is it ok to use inline adds on proxified pages?
A gut feeling tells me that I probably shouldn't,
but $ signs are clouding my vision ;)
