Is it worth it to sell at sitepoint?

Their marketplace looks kind of...dead to me. Is it as good of a place to sell websites as people say it is? I'm not having any luck anywhere else.

    :/

If you are selling a good and active site then you will get more attention at sitepoint.

Sitepoint is full of serious buyers.

I have made over $10,000 in sales at sitepoint in the last 10 months or so.....and I rarely post auctions!

Sites often sell for more there compared with DP - although since SP changed their marketplace a lot of people have left which is why its a little slow.

Well I'm confident in my site :)

I'll consider them in the next few days. Do you have anymore suggestions?

Sitepoint would always be my first stop for selling a website so from a personal experience I would recommend them.

    Good luck with your sale

Sitepoint has been really slow lately... but I would recommend it. I have made mostly all my sales there and have probably sold over $20,000 in sites there in the past year and a half. However, as an other poster said above, since the redesign and the recession in the States it has slowed drastically....

    Good luck with your sale.

Sitepoint and DP are the best places where you can sell a site

    Exactly.
There has been some fall in activity in site point marketplace because of their new interface. But still its the best place to sell decent sites.
As per my observation, you can expect atleast 40-60% more for your sites at SP ( as compared to DP and other forums).
DP is good for selling small sites (of range below $100).

Till now I have also found their support team doing excellent job. I had a problem with my auction and SP owner Matt looked into the issue and resolved it.

Lets us know the progress and your experience with SP.

Do they charge a fee? How much? I need a reliable place to sell one of my sites.

fee depends upon the category of listing.
i think its $10 for turnkeys, $20 for established sites and $40 for premium sites.
    here is the full list.

    It's well worth it.

You get serious buyers with money. People who know what internet property is worth, and do not submit insulting offers.

That alone makes it worth it by comparison. DP's buy n sell is more small fries in the $100 range and under who are nickel and dimeing.

At least that's been my experience.

    2 cents
