Hi All i running a web hosting business, accepting payments via paypal, few days back one person purchased a webhosting account and domain name, for that he sent payment in paypal, i registered a domain for him and activated hosting account, after 3 days paypal sending me a mail that was "Unauthorized Claim" and reversed that payment to buyer.. what is going on?? really i cant understand, customer sending payment and purchasing service then reversing payments from paypal, they making us fools.. i think paypal helping to this scammers.. how can identify scammers transaction?? how to protect from them?? sorry for my bad english thanks praveen
You can't identify the scammers transaction. You have only option to cancel the hosting account of that person
Configure your payment system for PAYPAL VERIFIED MEMBERS ONLY. If you keep it for all,then many scammers with unverified paypal account will try to scam you and atast you will find yourself on the roads. So better,take the prevention.
There is nothing much can be done on this, choose your clients carefully and yes Verified members generally do not do scams but you can't even bet on some.
I recently had the same problem...sucks, but there really is nothing you can do as long as you want to stay accessible to as many people as possible. So many people here swear by egold or GCO or any of the other alternatives, but bottom line is that nobody has the reach that PayPal does. PayPal = More Customers. Though you may get some fraudulent reversals, they're just part of the game and must be counted as a cost of running business.
1. Most customers don't even know for Egold. 2. Egold is in legal problems now and it's not the best choice.
