Its very disappointing to see someone puts alot of effort on a site and then destroy it credibilities just because of 20 bucks. The site definitely use your logo, crappy version of it anyways. I like suggestion no 17, do a site review, explain your beef, optimize the page. Thats the best option you can do other than negative rep and itrade
lol, and even this: ''All images and content is copyrighted to Gametwo UK. All rights reserved. © Copyright 2007'' How fake :S
Did the owner tell u that he would pay u after doing his work? If yes tehn it is very bad not to pay u and not to reply to u. Next time try to get some payment in advanced and work carefully. Lots of fraud are there. Even sone who sells products but doesn't send the products after getting the money So all of us should be carefully about this kind of things. Again DP admins can take some action for these kind of people
Due to DP is plenty of scammers for each of the categories I would suggest every one be more careful when dealing with members who do not pay upfront. If you are designer put a very noticeable watermark as scammers may use a number of editiing trick to get rid of yours. If you are a content writer, send your work via PDF file that expires after the first reading and make sure it is protected from copy and paste. If you are coder, make sure to encrypt your script and use what a call function to get that script updated so if the scammer does not pay, your script will call your web and you can deliver and updated non-working version. And so on... be aware and use your creativity to avoid scams
Well i am now adding watermarks on ALL of my images, and also a hidden watermark embedded into the image, also i know that script to disable saving image so i will use that also. But yehh the contest said winner gets $20 and i haven't seen a cent of it at all
Did you watermark it? If you put your name in a watermark, and he removed it, there may be a little more you can do... I am not sure though...
Besides watermarks, there are several applications that let you add a digital signature, whether your name, the name of your website or any other unique identifier, as there are applications by mean of which you can read that information, such as Irfanview when selecting "image properties"
I agree with SEOpaw - always use a watermark, make all the changes needed and let the person pay and then send the files without the watermarks
If you are sure that,he is wrong, then get him a -ve iTrader and Red Reputation also. Then track his IP nad sue him up. but i guess, you mus have used watermark on your image.
@SEOpaw - The watermarks idea is a really good one. All the images I buy from istockphoto have watermarks on their previews, which makes it effective to prevent people from stealing them, but you can also still use the previews in site design to test the image before buying it.
