url redirection

I am an affiliate to a webcam site. My affiliate url is long and definately not pleasing to the eyes. I wanted to buy a domain from godaddy.com and have my affiliate link forwarded to it. Lets say for example I buy "www.camhoneys.com" and when visitors type that domain in their browser, it goes directly to my original affiliate link.

Do I need to buy hosting for this also? Or just buy the domain and in the members area chose domain forwarding?

Hosting is not necessary for this.

1) Buy Domain
2) Forward it

Easy as that.

 

You don't need hosting, just a simple url forwarding. If it is possible use a frame url forwarding, this way the visitors won't see your affiliate url at the top.

You Must register the domain yes!! but no hosting needed!! Just use URL forwarding. And if you want a free co.cc domain like www.camhoneys.co.cc you can register it at www.co.cc and forward it to ur original addrs

 

Or you can use www.dot.tk it's also free just like mine www.livejasminmember.tk and like you said...this is also just a url forward

Yes, I agree with other guys, you don't need to buy hosting at all. Just setup Url forwarding option for a domain and everything will be ok. You can ask Godaddy to mask the url you are redirected to.
