Is it possible to make money through adsense on blogger.com, blogspot or other sites like that. I heard that it practically impossible to optimize these sites, therefore no clicks and no money. Im new to adsense and I don't know if I should start to invest in my own domains or if I can just get the same results using a free blog and/or free domain.
I am not sure if you could optimize your blogger for great revenue. But I know some do make money off of them. Just not as much do the factors you already have stated. But there is ways but putting keywords into the blog. So I am sure you could earn a fair amount I would think.
actually everything depend on how hard you promote your site,you may use both your domain and free blog to put google ads for maximize your adsense income.i have heard once that this boy only use free blog to generate about 500usd per month..that preety good for me

I would like to get my own domain. I would just rather get the experience on a free blog site before using my money for a domain which if I do it right would pay for itself and bring back extra revenue.
Good idea; but depends how much effort you're going to be putting into the "test" site. If you think you're going to end up link building, SEO, promoting like no other to get a "real" taste at having a successful website, I strongly suggest doing some services online (if you can) to raise the money and get you own domain. There are even some people that will give you your own domain if you post on their forum (I think it was like 1000 posts gets you 1 domain??). I just think its crucial to own a domain in order to maximize on future value assuming you're going to be putting in real work to make the website work.
Hmmm I never heard about that before. Ill look around for it, tell me if you know any sites that you know that actually do this.
if there is any hope that you are gonna do this for money or long term...buy a domain name and put it on a host...it won't cost much...and if it takes off, you will be glad you do...if it doesn't you are out maybe 20 bucks...

i am using blogspot, and you can still optimize your website. my blog ranks top 10 for some keywords in my country. i do rank top 10 globally if you search for Excel XIRR. so its not true you cant optimize for blogger using adsense doesnt guarantee you to earnings but at least using blogger guarantees you need not to pay for hosting.

It is possible.. I have used 3 months time to get my first payment from my blogger. However, it is a video blog. So, I closed it because it dont have much potential..

You can optimize blogspot blog but I suggest you get your own domain. As to get traffic, you need to build lots of backlinks; if you get your own domain, then you will be building backlinks for your own site.
