This Will Destroy John McCain: McCain = George W. Bush's 3rd Term

George W. Bush is the biggest failure America has known in a very long time. He has the highest disapproval ratings in the history of disapproval ratings (that's about 70 years.) He now has the disapproval of 71% of Americans. Included in those numbers is a 40% disapproval rate by members of his own party.

82% of Americans say the US is "on the wrong track." The highest % in the history of right track/wrong track polling.

With all of that being said there's nothing more devastating to John McCain's campaign than being seen as a continuation of Bush's disastrous Presidency.

It's certainly not going to help any when a GOP congressman like Roy Blunt says that McCain does in fact represent a 3rd Bush term. To Blunt that is a "good thing." To the majority of Americans, not so much.

America is ready for a change. America is ready for Barack Obama!

McCain is not Bush II. Not by a long shot.

People know exactly what they are getting with McCain. A liberal Republican who fits the Commander-in-Chief role best of all the candidates.

If Bush goes to war with Iran, this election is in the bag for McCain.

McCain is not Bush II, he's Bush III. Bush II was Dubya.

As far as your assertion that McCain will not be more of the same - you could tell that to this GOP congressman because he seems to think that Bush is more of the same. The American people will get this message - John McCain = George (71% disapproval) Bush's third term. He is a completely unacceptable choice for President.

Commander-in-Chief role in the mold of George W. Bush which is exactly what 71% of Americans do not want. We want a Commander-in-Chief who uses the military intelligently. We want a Commander-in-Chief who will end the Iraq war and will not enter stupidly into another war (with Iran.)

As far as your comment about Bush going into war with Iran somehow helping McCain - that's absolutely insane. Why would that help McCain? That will only bolster the argument for change.

Sorry pal, but the biggest religion in America, is Americanism.

We go to war, they will pick the warrior President.

You know I am absolutely anti-war, so this is not something I want to see, but I'm not drinking the Obama KoolAid, so I'm seeing all possibilities.

Now that Paul has pretty much reached the end, it's time to harvest the liberty crop, get ready for other challenges, and wait for Obama to inevitably disappoint people such as yourself, then see if we can't convince a few of you the system is a scam, and more is needed than rhetoric. Maybe some monetary reform, and an end to the foreign policy of empire (including foreign aid and UN dues).

The GAO video with David Walker was posted here several times. I don't know that you ever watched it, but Walker was a Clinton appointee (so no partisan arguments against him), and he details in no short order that we are broke.

And if you believe him (and there is no reason I could find to believe he is lying), then you'll know that Obama's promises of big spending, are simply irresponsible and reckless.

Particularly for a relatively young fella like yourself. You're going to have to live through very rough times if we don't make smart decisions.

If Obama does get in, I like the GOP's chances in 2012. We'll have a kick@ss candidate in Mark Sanford.

I think you are underestimating the disgust with the Bush admin/Republicans in general in America right now.

I've been posting this everywhere because I think it's extremely relevant for this November's races -> http://blog.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2008/05/democrats_win_mississippi_spec.html

This is going to be a landmark election. The GOP as we know it will be wiped out and that definitely includes John McCain. He is a part of the George Bush war machine and he will go down. BIG.

And I do hope the GOP moves towards the Ron Paul/Libertarian side of things if they get wiped out as badly as I hope they do this November - as that would be a far more interesting debate next time around. As it stands the current Republican party is just so absolutely ridiculously wrong about everything that it's not even a reasonable debate. The Republicans will literally be able to make no arguments this November against Barack Obama. All they will be doing is sifting through his garbage looking for dirt. Pathetic. America is done with neocons.

You keep saying you will talk about issues, and then when I try to bring up a substantive issue, you dodge or ignore it.

    What's the deal with that?

McCain's insanity will also be a factoring issue.

This will certainly fuel rhetoric from the Dems. I think most people already know it though.

guerrilla, I think the sentiment is with specific focus on foreign policy, even if it's not specifically stated. McCain is a politician (ie. whore) of the first caliber and will bend to the king makers just like Bush.

Zibblu, Obama isn't much different from McCain - just answers to different king makers.

Republicans in general are done and have no chance in hell winning anything this November. The other candidates on both sides are nothing to be bragging about...and America is once again left with picking the lesser of two evils which is still evil. We're screwed!

Oh man that's a pretty depressing video. Even if McCain loses in November, he will have finished in 2nd place for the most powerful (maybe?) job in the world. I say maybe because its the people whispering in his ear that seem to have the real power...

Give me a break, he's a shitty candidate but every single one of those quotes comes with no context what so ever. Some of them are OPINIONS and then what he'd actually do in office. Terrible video.

Compared to the ridiculous "flip flop" accusations of John Kerry - this is 100X worse.

McCain contradicts himself constantly. Look how he has contradicted himself on Iraq.

He says one thing one time and the exact opposite the next time.
