I purchased this site in January from a DP member. It was ranking well, but the website itself was awful, and wasn't converting well. Anyway, I redesigned the website, and put the new version online on 2/3/08. From 2/3/08 - 2/11/08, the site made $357.90 (screenshot below).

On 02/12/08, the site was nailed by a Google penalty, and was knocked down 100 results, then 350 results, then 950 results. Needless to say, it killed the income. It still made a few sales while I was busy fixing the problems the site was penalized for (bad links, which were built by the previous owner), but it was just a matter of time before it rebounded.

Traffic trickled until 05/01/08, when it began to appear back in Google for its old high-ranking keywords. Right now, it's averaging roughly 120 visitors per day, most from Google for keywords like "penis enlargement pills", "penis enlargement", etc. Since traffic picked back up (05/01/08), the site has made $422.70 (screenshot below).

Sale Information:

This is not a fire sale. I am getting married in September, and I'm considering selling this website, provided I can get the right price for it. Without anymore link-building, it appears to be a steady, hands-off $800/mo+ earner.

I hope you aren't counting on too large a multiple of earnings considering you have less than two weeks of steady income to show.

I know! Pretty funny! When it was penalized, I went crazy for like two weeks cleaning as much as possible up, thinking that it would just rebound right away. I quickly learned (after much research) that it would be awhile. It finally turned back on, and has been kicking butt since.

Re: Expectations

In truth, I have no problem holding onto the site for awhile. I don't *have* to get rid of it, but I'm sure it would help my wife-to-be to know I'm not working on the "dick site" (as she calls it) while she's at work. If I can't get what I'm looking for for it, I'll hold onto it, make the $1000ish a month, and then list it again before we get married, when I can show 5 months or so of steady earnings.

And as far as your fiancee's reaction, I totally understand. I've had similar conversations with my GF in which she is concerned how she would answer the "so what does your bf do for a living" quesiton.

Update:

The site made another sale today, bringing the total for the month up to $520.XX. Also, a link on the home page has been sold and paid for, for $175.00 per month. The purchaser does not have a contract, as he would prefer to pay month to month. Proof/documentation available upon request.

I'm guessing you paid about $2k for this when the traffic ranking were much better. 2 weeks traffic from google doesnt mean everythings fixed.

Are these just snake oil products? I don't necessarily have a problem with a site that promotes this kind of product unless you are just selling BS. Oh, and what are the mail and fax orders?

While I haven't used any of the products personally, I have received a couple of feedback e-mails from people who purchased through the site, both of whom had good things to say. Beyond that, I have no idea.

The phone/mail orders are call-in orders. The sales representatives ask for a "offer code" which is linked to my affiliate account. It is displayed on the product websites.
