Thanks for being patient Marty. I'm just updating because I'm not sure all the newer DP members who purchased are aware that technical issues can take a bit of time. I recieved quite a few pm's this morning questioning the traffic and I could only give an answer that it's still not live.

Dave for the amount of time it would take to redirect the traffic to over 100 urls and have it sent equally among customers, the server will already be live. Currently the traffic is being redirected to a page that informs my site members of a new server to handle the load and then forwards them to my network of proxy sites after a set number of seconds.
The proxy sites are on a completely different server that I also rent off Ishan. I need a complete dedicated just for the "one" site that we're working on here to go live because this one site if placed on a server with other sites would crush the server.
It needs it's own dedicated.

Hope all of this makes sense.

In either case getting the site live will take Ishan and I about 5 minutes once we get our email from burst.net the datacenter.

Just to clarify I made a mistake in the first post of this thread. It did not crush Ishan's VPS - Ishan is not selling hosting accounts on a VPS. He has entire servers. It was crushing all the site's on his shared server and the entire load was coming from my site. The site wouldn't even be able to be handled on a VPS. Anything less than a dedicated isn't an option. Even with that if I grow much bigger I'll need a quad core with 8 GB of ram just to run apache and a complete dedicated server just to run the mysql.
I'm anticipating this upgrade in less than 60 days at the current growth rate.

Thanks ruberr2002 for taking the time to read where we're at. Don't worry. This is a paramount server upgrade and everything is prioritized all the way from me, to LaceHost and Burst.net

 

How much to have it directed just to me lol Until the server goes live.

Update 2:10 PM still no email from burst.net . Ishan has not heard back yet either. Only that they were catching up orders from the weekend.

Update 4:00 PM still no email from burst.net

I've had no problems with burst once the servers are configured. This is longer than the first one I ordered to set up for some reason.

Edit 7:01 pm. Ishan I believe is from India. Is anyone aware what time it is there?
He should be online soon for me to enquire. I'm still here people. I'd be really stressed except I know the second Ishan gets the info from Burst.net I'll have it and we'll be firing it up live. It's nothing he nor I can control. I'm suprised at Burst's turnaround time though for a new setup.

Edit 11:13 PM - We recieved the email. The server is now being set up with it's Nameservers, IP addresses etc. The site backup is going up and now it's just a matter of the dns services to resolve the domain to the IP across the globe. (This varies in time) As soon as I can see the site resolve the ads go in.

Edit 12:36 am - The server is now live, everything is set up. Just waiting for the dns to resolve and as soon as I can see the site I'll add the ads. Will be early in the morning. If it hasn't propogated by then I'll edit my hosts file and manually add them all. People will begin seeing it live again as soon as their isp's collect the new DNS.

Can i get an update on what is happening?

 

Everyone's ad is live now. As soon as the site completely propagates for all the user's globally traffic will start coming. Some people can see it already because some people are recording visits. I have to go do my first treatment today for my illness but I'll be back tonight. As more people can see the site the more users will be visiting. Everything seems to be running at top notch. PM me if you have any bugs. If you can't see the site yet it means it's not resolved at your ISP level yet.

I confirm I am getting traffic too, one final question, what is stopping one of your members viewing my site 10,000 times for 20 seconds?

 

Because once they visit once per day Dave it puts a line through the ad and it's no longer clickable for credit

Traffic will keep going up as more and more users can see the site again!
