Everyone talks about creating a niche membership site where members pay a monthly/yearly reoccurring fee. In general, what kind of subscriptions are we talking about here?
A monthly recurring chief. It's called long time money. Not nickel and dimeing chasing your adsense crumbs.
You will need a large investment ($20,000 maybe?) to get that type of income initially, otherwise it will take a few years to get up to that amount of earnings starting from nothing.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry. Couldn't resist. I think you mean to say, not many off DP and/or some of the forums, make that off the net fine sire. There are many of us that do that amount a couple times over annually.
If you mean buying into a site that will make you that much green, oh yeah, easily. $3000.00 a mo. x 18-24 months revenue = $54,000 - 72,000.00 you would have to pay to buy an existing site of this caliber. Depending on the site, niche, market, and so on. Affiliate sites, among others are not worth 18+ months revenue. Maybe 9-12. But even then, you are still dropping close to an annual year's salary. But some solid membership based sites, or those with recurring revenue, are worth 18-24 months easy (docs need to support rev, traffic, ref, sales, etc). THOSE are what you want. SOLID money makers.
Guys, keep in mind that I do not have an Adsense account. My google account was banned for a very pathetic reason, which I appealed for, several times, but I got no response. I even waited months, but no answer.

I would say your comment is also extremely innacurate and while many of DP make a lot, there are also MANY MANY new members, posters who only work online as a hobby, college students, and others who are learning. There are also thousands of international posters who only dream of 100K earnings online. Remember, half the world lives on less than a dollar per day. No reason for arragonace. I'd suggest making sure your comments & constructive and helpful... and at the least, accurate. Take care.
I wasn't being rude, and my feedback was accurate. You cite DP only in your reply. I said SP, and other forums. Try reading my comments, and referencing them accurately when you wanna come in with your two cents. How long have you been making money online? I have been doing it for 10 years total, and 4+ years full time. Mainstream and adult. So I think I would know some "ball parks" on accuracy of who, and what makes up both ends of the online industry(ies) to say the least. There are many on DP, SP, GFY, and forums that have more experience than you. I know I personally share many of my experiences, successes and failures in different sections of DP among other places. Providing tips, tricks, and suggestions so people do not waste time and money while trying to get into the online game full time. Next time you wanna jump in as the nicety police, you might wanna have your noob facts and "hot tips" in order before you go shaking people's tree. Just a suggestion.

Making that kind of income online is possible, but it will take a LOT of work to get to that point. It won't happen overnight. Basically, you need content. GOOD content. And you have to keep it fresh and add to it, otherwise your visitors will get bored and move on to other sites. Just find something that 1). you enjoy, and 2). know a sh*tload about. That will make things easier than trying to develop something you really aren't interested in (which makes it seem like actual work).
I believed that once, until I found fast easy residual money. Nothing has ever been like this before. I want the whole world to know. This can't become over saturated or even competitive. I'm telling you, doing it the way you are thinking, yea, it will take a LOT of work. This is automatic money, increased, forever, each time you repeat a 5 to 10 minute process. Tweaked where all of the sudden every potential automatic 10 dollars you made is now 100, guaranteed. There is no reason to fear others finding out, there is no competition, no adwords, adsense, or ad networks in general. No CPA offers. Nothing. Adding this to everything I was already doing only made me see that this makes more money for me than any of that stuff ever did. I'm not saying people should stop looking for a fast and easy method to make money. I'm not saying people should stop asking for it either. I'm just saying that ANYONE who you point to this guide will get their answer, and if they deny it, then call them lazy. Because it can't be any easier than this. Nothing is easier than this that I know of. This guide will get a residual, effort free return that grows each and every time you repeat a 5 or ten minute process. I have read everything you can read free online, or at least it feels that way. I've tailed gurus through their stints throughout the web2.0 social networks, I've bought guide after guide, and almost bought into MLMs a few times, but luckily was able to avoid that sort of thing. My content on my favorite sites to work on is no longer suffering from stress I'm going through about what offers to run or where to place my adsense. You can make money online via doing work at freelance sites. You don't need to invest money in order to earn money at freelance sites.
regarding the scholorships.. my wife works for a large university here in Canada... and they hand out $100's of thousands of dollars every year and surpisingly, a lot of students don't apply for scholoships or grants because they don't know about them or they don't think that they can get them. At the end of every year, the wife still has lots of money left in the pot.. i would follow randomcloaks idea of applying for a scholorship or grant.
Mmm... have you done SEO for other peoples ? Try look for local clients (I don't reccomend DP cause it's very saturated and people here begging for $1). Then go for aff marketing. And...you know, it's better just to be persistent on something a year or so (maybe on multiple things). I am more than sure that within 1 year you'll make that money. Even more probably.
Why don't you give students what they want, parties. Your first couple would be a bit dodgy as you wont have enough cash to host them properly, but if you put a good theme on to it they wouldnt even realise it was some cheesy party on a field in the middle of nowhere. (drinking cricket, drinking golf ) - (extra revenue bring camera and post it onto websites like clipstar or ones thta payout for how many times yours is viewed). But events would be quite big for any Uni. Uni babes and adult websites a website that gets jobs for students. If you are willing to do the extra mile rather than just set the site up and hope for the best, it could do well there. You could also make a publication of all the best things and best bars and parties to attend during a month and sell that. The list is endless...
