HOW TO WORD OUTSOURCING REQUEST? My little land sales company has had a website for years (made with Yahoo site builder) but just as an adjunct to our eBay sales. Now we want to outsource the optimizing (revamp or rebuild) and SEO of it for direct sales. How do we word a bid request? What do we want to be sure to include? Would it be better done some place other than Yahoo? How do we be sure to end up with a control panel we (non-technicals) could manage? Any comments appreciated.

You need first to hire a project manager for you...a tech guy...you tell them what you want, he will write the specs and eventually the layout...you'll approve and then he will go and find people who can do it (on freelance sites for example)...
Those are good for single individual freelance workers. A outsources company cant depends on it. here my in county some of company going to fail for marketing only. You need direct marketing for good result.
You can find companies on those sites too! I know there are some companies there from my country, for example...and when I posted some projects on Rentacoder I got some companies to bid on them too...
HEY, THANKS FOR THE REPLIES. "You need first to hire a project manager for you...a tech guy...you tell them what you want, he will write the specs and eventually the layout...you'll approve and then he will go and find people who can do it (on freelance sites for example)..." Are you looking for a team? I know of a mid-sized company based in the Philippines that provides outsourcing services. They'll hire the team for you, provide the technology i.e. computer, internet, etc. You just have to give them your project specs and discuss it in detail. If you're interested, I'll send you a PM.
