Start contributing on the contest's and making some profile of reference for web design money is not earned easilly.
You can make that $700 via working at freelance sites. I suggest you join few freelance sites and look for photoshop related jobs.
I've raised cash in the past by running a firesale. $200 is more than enough to buy everything you would need to setup such a site. Last year I wanted to buy an $800 coffee maker and came up with the idea of running a firesale. I spent $67 buying 100 ebooks with resell rights. Then I bought a PayPal delivery script which was about $25. I bought an expired domain name for $7 and spent about 2 weeks building the site. Then I did link building, social bookmarking and posted in a lot of forums. I charged $10 for the complete package of 100 ebooks with resell rights. I limited the firesale to 100 sales and ran the firesale for three weeks with a countdown clock on the site. I actually didn't work as hard as I could have but still managed to make the 100 sales. Looking back I would have run the firesale for longer and not set the 100 limit as this restricted my earnings. After taking out PayPal fees and my other costs I had enough to buy my dream coffee maker! You could try something similar or perhaps get someone to build you either a firesale site or ebook store. The good thing about building an ebook store is that you can keep earning from it. If you run a firesale you're only running it for a period of time and so you either have to offer something new or close the site afterwards. My site went from being unranked in Google to a PageRank 6 in less than two months. I sold the domain and made even more money! I'm not saying this was easy money. It can be hard getting people to buy, especially ebooks. But if you're prepared to work at it, it can be done. Just make sure you're getting newer products and not stuff from years ago. If you need any help or advice PM me. I'm always willing to help people earn a few $$$!!!
Thanks for your posts. angilina thats what I was thinking of doing, know any sites besides here where I could get some jobs? This is the only site where I make graphics for people. Bigbluesky, sounds interesting, but challenging, can I ask where you got the E- Books?
There are really two ways to make money online. You can either do the work yourself, which often means learning new things or you can get someone to do the work for you. I suppose it depends on how good you technically and if you can learn new skills. Doing the work yourself obviously saves you money but can be challenging. Paying someone to do the work is great if the work they do then earns you your investment back many times over. I'm lucky in that I'm fairly good technically. If I don't know how to do something I can usually teach myself how to do it quite quickly. That said I do spend a lot of time learning new things. I actually bought half of the books from another firesale which ended a long long time ago. The others I bought from ebay and various ebook stores. Getting the package right was part of the success. If you sell the wrong products nobody is going to buy. Get it right and the package will sell itself. The first thing I did when I knew I wanted the coffee maker was set out how much I would need and the amount of time I was going to give myself to get it. The coffee maker was $800 and I figured five weeks was long enough. I allowed two weeks to build the site and three weeks to sell the ebooks. I actually made my target $1000 to cover my costs. If you think setting up something like this seems a bit daunting then you could always forget about the website and try selling your package via forums like DP. This would cut out a lot of the hard work. Hope this helps!
even web design have many competitors in contests so you must be good to put something beat the others
yeah I dont think Im good enough with photoshop yet to win contests, but thanks for getafreelancer.com Keep the ideas coming guys and thanks!
the easiest way for a 14 year old to get $700 is thru a real job. go mow someones lawn, help out an old lady out with chores, or just ask your parents. you'll make that money faster than doing something online. or you can always sell your old unwanted gi-joes or nintendo games on ebay. people still pay good money for those.
Actually, I recently got a job at a supermarket but they dont need much help so I only get to work about once a week and that would take a pretty long time to get $700 from.
Freelancing is great if you don't mind working for other people. I'd much rather do my own thing and generate my own income rather than rely on getting jobs and being told what do to. I suppose freelancing is better than a regular job because you can pick the work you want to do and specify the terms. But at the end of the day you are still working for someone else. If you want a good guide to freelancing that contains a link library of a lot of freelancing sites PM me and I will send you a free copy.
well I think you can try Get Paid to Search program , check out this thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=689391 but they pay on NET45 , so for example January earning paid on 15th of March
I actually signed up on that site, but it says you get 50% of what your referrals make but its more like 10% so Im doubtful that they will pay me.
