Help Installing HJSplit 2.3 for Linux Will Pay $5 - $10

    Can anyone tell me ssh commands on how to install HJSplit 2.3 for Linux ( http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/#linux ) on Centos5 Operating System Server..

    And also tell commands on how can i split files after installing HJSPLIT 2.3 on linux...

    Um unpack then configure then make then makeinstall ? :p you have the build essentials right?

    LXSplit is better for Linux. ;)

    Here is one how to, hope it helps.

    sudo apt-get install build-essential
    after that, you have to get the .tar.gz archive (http://www.freebyte.com/download/lxsplit.tar.gz):
    wget http://www.freebyte.com/download/lxsplit.tar.gz
    now to extract the contents:
    tar -xvvzf lxsplit.tar.gz
    go inside the extracted directory:
    cd lxsplit-0.1.1
    and
    make
    finally
    sudo make install
    ----------------------------------------------
    To split a file in files of 15 MB:
    lxsplit -s FILENAME.EXT 15M

    to join files:
    lxsplit -j FILENAME.EXT.001
    changing the FILENAME.EXT to the actual name of the file and its extension.

    But when i try to split a 4 gb file.. i get error - File too large

    plz help...

    I installed the latest version - lxsplit-0.2.2 and now its working fine..

    that may be because your partition is NOT ntfs
