member of DP not paying. Need Help

Hi, i am wondering if anyone was able to help me, here is the problem.
I have submitted to a comp in this forum
here. When that person had there demo site he was using the image in which i created and had not paid. He has sent me PM's to make the image perfect and i have done that and i said i will scale it down to fit and send in correct file types. But all i got was no answer no payment and that kind of thing. I have emailed him, PM'd him and sent an Infraction. But i still have seen none of that money and i have no real way of contacting him.

Is anyone able to help me?

The only thing that I can suggest is that, in the future, you demand the money before you send the item to the buyer. Otherwise, you have no guarantee that you will receive your money.

 

i didn't but, he stole the image from the contest preview also that is why on his site it was stretched out length ways. As i never resized and sent as .psd

 

I agree with the guy above, there is not much you can do in this situation, apart from bad rep and negative i trader.

That is the person who stole the logo. The site is pretty poor anyway.

 

I always either ask for cash in advance or 50% down payment. Or you could always fly to his house and hold him at gunpoint till he pays.

In the strongest possible terms tell them that he is using stolen intellectual property ( Namely Copyright Material ) on their server and that you will be taking legal action if is not removed.

Hosts are generally quite sympathetic so try there first.

 

but he can simple host on a image hosting site and then add the image in....
That way he will be ok.

All you can really do is give negative rep and itrader unfortunately.

Some people do actually test out the previews on their own site just to see how it looks, maybe they were doing that...after all, he didn't declare you the winner of the contest, at least not in the thread.

Really simple.
Make a page on your website optimise it to rank first for gametwo shopping review. And just basically say your not sure how much you would trust the site as if he cant pay for services for his site what makes you think he will send the goods

Dont actually make any slander just post something which will cast doubt into peoples minds. Thats enough to make him lose a few sales

i have PM's from him saying to edit the logo so that once it was done that would be the winning one. Also if i didn't win why would he use my logo?

 

thats why people use watermarks on it, after the trade they send the psd file, kapish
