Has anyone ever experienced the situation where there site is getting most of it's traffic from a non-US country yet the domain name is .com and the server is located in the US. This has happened to my site where I get 95% UK traffic even though the site caters for worldwide and is not UK centric in any way. The only consideration is that I am physically located in the UK. I wouldn't have though this mattered as the actual site is hosted in the US.
Would links from UK sites be enough to tilt results one way? Would that reduce a sites effectiveness in ranking in google.com rather than google.co.uk?
you need to make back links through website having extension .co.uk and having hosting in UK, The fast way to rank better, do classifieds submission, I am sure ranking will improve.
I have never heard of this before, but this probably has something to do with the linking structure of your site.
Interesting discussion. I have a co.uk site and want to get better results in the US. It looks like buying a .com domain isn't the easy answer.
If you want to get good rankings in google US. Try to get related links from .com site and site hosted in US.
i think US ip address links will help you to get good rankings in .com Try some links from Link Exchange and social bookmarking. Thanks John
