Then spend the time to learn how to market/advertise your site. Also learn how to build backlinks and rank in the search engines. Traffic is the key to success of any Website. Traffic is the key to getting people there. Target market position is the key to getting conversions. The two go hand in hand. I would learn the process. Don't focus on the tools. Focus on an area. Start with your interests. Then from there follow a trail and decide if you want to try affiliate marketing or a store, a content google site or referral service or forum. There are lots of ideas. You have to first narrow your focus from walmart style general store to boutique. From there you choose a target market and learn all you can about them. Write a marketing strategy and an outline for your site. Then consider the building tools. That's super simplified but the gist of it.

1) Don't pay for systems/information/ebooks that will claim to teach you how to make money because you can learn all of it with a little research 2) Browse the websites for sale... most are not that profitable but every once in a while you can grab one that can be optimized and resold. 3) Research, research, research until you are comfortable with all aspects of websites, SEO...find a profitable niche, buy a domain name, build up value in your website, market, monetize. There is no quick and easy method to make money straight away. Far better to invest the time and build a website that provides value to visitors.
