Myanmar do not have enough transport planes and helicopters, it is doubtful that they can reach the isolated locations especially with all roads damaged.

US War ships are waiting out at sea to provide aid via air, but once again they are not allowed to enter their airspace. This is not a case of resources they are ready and waiting on all borders they are just being refused entry and this is the biggest problem.

We learned the force one the hard way! We'll pass!

but seriously I hope they resolve that soon...probably too late for many already even if the floodgates of aid were opened tomorrow.

Yep and what makes it even WORSE is more bad weather is on the way, its going to be devestating, i think reports already put 15% of the country under water or at least heavily flooded.

Strange really, we can f*ck about in the likes of Afghanistan and Iraq yeah there may have been dictators in those countries but never heard of genocide actually happening.

Its a p*ss poor excuse from the UN not entering the country, and getting the taiwanesse government to enter into dialog with Burma to allow aide and aide workers through?!?! WTF?!?... whats has this world come to. No wonder were sending probes through space to planets that may contain life, who the f*ck would want to stay here, mankind is a DISGRACE at this very moment in time.

Sorry for the harsh post, but trying to put things into prospective here.

what? the ? hell? are you talking about man??? they're letting their own people die by the 10's of thousands by refusing to let aid workers do their job...that is far from approaching the matter.

so 20K will die from the cyclone itself and who knows how many 100's of thousands will die from lack of food, water, sanitation, etc.

real nice regime they got there

WTF? it has nothing to do with the colour of your skin or ethnic background, religous beliefs etc...

This is a crime against humanity. Burma is not a superpower we are and therfore we should act against it... em.. would did Gordon Brown say today.. let me think.. oh yeah "GB pleads with burma to let aide in" ARGGHH... Brown you are a fu*king di*khead and the sooner your removed as our PM the better.

Oh no.. China gets hit with 7.8 earthquake, thousands dead.. WTF is going on over that part of the world... :(

I totally agree... actions have always spoken louder than words.

Is it just me or does seem that all the action happens in all the wrong places.....

yeah, and in this case every hour counts. who knows how large the scope of the damage will be as far as lives are concerned. The media might be like China...censored. For all we know twice as many people might have died thus far. :(

Oh... you know what i never thought of that, yep chinnese media is state controlled. Well, estimations are at 1.5m how much worse could it actually get... i mean if the toll were to rise higher than that would there be any people left in the country, thats the scale of this problem especially with more bad weather on the way.

Man.... If there is a god this would be about the time he needs to show himself.

1.5m could continue to multiply, so I think it could get a lot worse. If international aid doesn't get in soon, I fear that 1.5m is only going to rise as the weeks and months go on. This isn't a 1 month cleanup job
