Are you a Teen? Are you interested in Business?

I've recently taken over Teen Business Forum, and have worked a bit to revamp it.

I've re-organized categories, added a theme, and started advertising a bit.

I'm awaiting more advertising so far.

What else do you guys suggest I do? vBSEO? Directories? Paid Posting (although I don't think it would be very good for my forum)? Competitions?

    Thanks!

    Again, the URL iswww.TeenBusinessforum.com

I'm thinking about adding contests, but what type of contests should I add (I can put them in the news section for now).

I was thinking of: “Person who posts topic xxx wins a $20 gift card at Amazon” or something, but I'm not exactly sure what type of contest I want.

What contests have been effective for you guys?

I'm a member of this forum, it's a great community! Learned a lot there. :)

EDIT: For the contests...Duality (previous owner) had a contest for the best tutorial..this means the site will get heaps of free tutorials everyone can read, and this will attract members ;)

Hey Krash! You're following a lot of my posts.

I've started a competition for a forum kickoff - a chance to win $40. What do you think?

Sounds good, but only problem I see with it is that people are aware of the competition and so they may refrain from posting in other people's threads because they want to win it themselves..if you know what I mean.

Yeah, I'm worried about that too, but as of now, it seems that people are just posting around, so I guess it's good.

Why are you still on a Beta version of vBulletin? There was a massive security risk -CSRF ...

The content and the theme of the site is good but I think you should consider adding
    some graphics to it.

dude. nice work. I joined with the username haven. I have a feeling I will have a good time on these forums.

The only problem is that all the threads are dated a year ago (I know its because the forum was down or whatever.) It kind of turns people away because they are all excited because the forum sounds and looks great. But then it falls apart with the content.

Yeah - I acquired it a month or so ago from DTanga. I felt that the content from the tutorials, etc, were good enough that I didn't want to take it down. But I know what you mean - it seems kinda weird to necromance.

If you want to get a lot of members then you must have a lot of traffic. Go buy your traffic from other sites related to teen business. Go to alexa.com and type in teen business or money opportunities and find sites built around that. Then contact the webmasters and see if you can place a banner on their site and negotiate a price. Then if your banner converts good you can make a lot of money.
