I use a 24" widescreen and a widescreen format on my laptop. They're pretty sweet. The 24 allows me to have 4 things open at once. Uber-productivity

You can't even buy a computer that comes with a regular sized monitor. So this thread is pointless since almost everyone is getting them now.

are you serious? now I think that would be totally great. But it would be too large that I won't like it. It would be too big for my eyes to look at. xD

Doesn't it hurt your eyes when you look at a widescreen? I'm still not entirely sure if I should get widescreen.

I can't work without a widescreen monitor, I need to have all my tabs in view and have windows side by side.

    I have a 24" Dell Widescreen and just bought a 22" Samsung TV/Monitor. Plus a 22" one at work.

It also helps when you're multi tabling poker games.

yeah! i am like the same

I felt uncomfortable using widescreen for the first time, but in just few weeks i got used to it. Now i only like widescreen :D. Having said that widescreens are the future. You just have to move on :)

I've been using a wide screen monitor at home and work for a little over a year now and I don't think I could go back. It is very convenient for multitasking. I keep my task bar on the right side of my screen so the extra real estate sure is nice for that. I haven't ever noticed any eye strain, in fact I'd really like to get duel wide screens for my home PC.
