Heh nice trick Jacob ;) I know of a way to milk out more than $xxx a day from proxies too, they are currently making high $xx on adsense for me but with this way I know of could easily double or triple it..there's some risk to it though..

    From here:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/poxy/

0.5 beta 2 is the latest, and no further development since the author is not continuing phproxy.

I take it none of you believe in ssh proxies? All I see here are cgi proxies that aren't very anonymous.

It's not a problem with believing or not, but a problem with monetising those.

Hi guys, I am reading the whole thread :) I used to read it last year when I had few proxies but than left it. Its Great to see it has grown so BIG.

By the way, you can submit your proxies to MWolk Proxy List, Its one of the unique hand coded website with lot of features.

Hey - Just needed some feedback on this proxy siteProxy.biz

NOTE: its just the front page no content yet!!!!!

I am going to spend about $3k initially on getting the site "out there" etc

My plan is to have a forum and information site on secure privacy and proxies. My thoughts is for people to post tips and tricks etc and the best ones that are voted by the members get their site featured on the front page for a month?

Also the information site will have free and paid resources and free and paid templates - perhaps buying proxy traffic ( like mr Bill is offering etc )

Also a free and paid proxy topsite like www.unblock.us

I am not sure whether to have an open forum or an invite only via DP members? and then they vouch for new members.

As I have proxies already I have decided to NOT hold any links to my proxies ( I think this is important as it end up being a resource just for my proxies ) and i not thing people would like that; note I have a few links on there just to fill the template, but these will be removed.

i have played the idea or selling subdomains but I am not sure - myspace.proxy.biz

Pleas give me some FEEDBACK: I am not open to "thats crap" as I dont listen to that, however i am very open to constructive critic.

Also up for ideas - i have had some very good pms but prefer it if people post them to share.

why would people give away thier tips and tricks? thats like giving away thier bread and butter, not that earnings from proxy sites could ever provide a real income. Besides all the knowledge you could possibly hope to gain from free sources are in this thread.

Ill be honest, having my proxy listed on the front page of a site called "proxy.biz" is probly the fastest possible way I can think of to get it blacklisted in every school and office that uses a modern content filter (which is about every school/college/office in the western world), other than having it put on the peacefire mailing list.

The reason in regard to tips is to share between proxy owners - i dont think sharing ideas etc kills off your own traffic? and yes proxies can give a full time income, although not generally.

I disagree with the blackilisted bit just because its on the front page - if that was the case proxy.org should close today :)

i am sorry you think its a bad idea - and although your comments were negative, i take the on board

Dont tell my proxy that ;) For it not making a real income is has paid for 2 dedicated servers every month for over a year plus my actual cable bill with enough left to promote also. This is only one site so if I ever got the motivation 4-5 of them could provide a rather decent passive income.

You are targeting the audience if your worried about filters. As most owners have a certain method to promote new sites without ever exposing the url in public via emails. They will run a quick fast promotion for a week or two then go to newsletters and proxy groups. This will prolong them getting banned. Yes, putting a new site straight on proxy.org is not a wise move as it will blocked in a matter of hours. However adding older ones to these site can help some all though Baron gets tons of unwanted traffic so dont hope for much US traffic using his site to promote.

Did you know someone here started a thread telling everybody that proxies makes good money. (this was about 2 years ago) and The programmer of phproxy said on http://proxy.org/forum/1161292029.html#9 to Ban that idiot refer to reply #9 by abdullah author of phproxy.

There is the ruthless world of business and competitors..

I dont mean to be rude but as you only have 1 proxy site I dont think your an authority on the subject or how profitable proxy sites are. But when you are putting your kids through college off the back of your proxies, let me know.

network admins and school staff sign up to proxy news letters dude, they arnt stupid, unless they signup with thier schools email address and not a hotmail address, then they are stupid. But newsletters and yahoo groups will get you blocked.

    That’s interesting. I couldn't agree more with thewird :

2 years on its more like 3% now.

the owner of phproxy was a real proxy profit whore, then when he shut the phproxy project he had the cheek to lecture us all about how immoral it is to make money from proxies. What a twat.
