I recieved an email from a company about purchasing some traffic and it looks like a tempting experiment for a new eBook I wrote (shameless plug: http://www.automatedadultincome.com ). I have been working and helping out a friend whose mother died and haven't had any time to do "real" promotion. Anyway if anyone has tried it I would love to hear about their experience. Or if you have any promtotion ideas for the ebook that would be awesome too as my first ppc ads were rejected as innapropriate and I haven't had time to write new ones.
I did. Just waste of money. Those companies will deliver you generated traffic and some real traffic; mostly useless and never converts.
Yeah, it doesn't convert unless it's Adwords or YSN. Don't buy visitors or expired domain hits from traffic brokers. Those never convert.
No, do not purchase traffic. You can get it free but it will take time and work. Throwing up a cheap landing page and trying to buy cheap traffic is going to result in failure. You have no idea where that traffic is coming from or why they are there. If I was you, this is what I would do: Redo your landing page. The sales copy is half decent, but the layout is really weak. It's needs to convince people to buy. You need pictures of mansions, smiling white guys driving Ferrari's and half naked girls. If you're trying to sell something, the landing page is EVERYTHING. It determines if they buy or not. Throwing up a cheap landing page and buying some cheap traffic is not going to work. You need to dump EVERYTHING you have into the landing page. That includes money, energy and time.
I recommend not to buy traffic to those companies its such a waste of money! Of course your doing business you have to earn sales and profits through your websites, buying a traffic will not generate profits or even sales and I've already prove that
Purchased traffic never converts. Use that money on advertising to get relevant traffic that'll result in sales conversions.
Big sites like Askmen, iVillage, About, and many, many more big sites used advertising companies (they bought traffic). You just have to be careful with who you do business with.
if you want to buy traffic buy it from known companies as Adwords,Adengage,adbrite....and others view the thread in my signature
I have to agree. I purchased traffic once from a supposed "all targeted traffic" site. Useless traffic. However, Adwords produced quality traffic for me. I think there are creative ways, (with some work involved, though) of getting quality free traffic. If you've got more money than time, use adwords.
It's garbage traffic, most of the time it's either from pop-under ads which are quickly dismissed by the user or some even shamelessly send bot traffic (a whole bunch of proxies visiting your site). Unless you're doing blackhat methods that would require some traffic to appear legit to the affiliate network, it's not worth it and it won't convert.
Learn adwords and take advantage of the extremely targeted traffic you can get from that whilst refining your ad copy before you even consider CPM networks and banner ads.
I tried the purchase traffic thing.. neve worked for me.. waste of money in my books.. nothing like natural traffic..
Before you buy traffic from Adengage read the report in my sig. You will be SHOCKED by how advertisers are being cheated on worthless clicks.
