    OMG.

This is what the future holds, seems like this forum favors the democrat mindset. LOL.

What happens if John McCain wins, we don't run from a war that we are currently winning.

I have a few serious questions for you:

    1. Is English your first language?
    2. Did you complete High School?
    3. How old are you?
    4. Do you live in a city, suburban, small town, or country setting?

I do not mean this as a jab so much as I am really interested in what kind of person "thinks" the way that you do.

You do realize the overwhelming majority of US population doesn't support the war, right?

And with McCain and his 100 year war comments, you still think he stands a chance?

Considering that Obama is a globalist, and McCain is not too warm on the UN, maybe McCain is the better choice. I don't believe Obama is going to withdraw from Iraq anytime soon.

I understand you don't think Obama will do this. But I have to ask: really? On this issue, you'd prefer McCain over Obama, because one believes in UN participation, and the other has called for a "League of Democracies" in supplanting the U.N.?

    Again, really?

Are you talking to me again?

Obama doesn't believe in UN participation. He believes in selling out the nation state to the UN. He believes in UN law trumping American law.

McCain is a nut bag, but at least his belief in American hegemony means we won't sell out to the UN.

Guerilla, please don't misunderstand our recent exchange - you asked if you could send something to me via PM, and I didn't think an exchange via PM's is the best thing for us - and I meant it sincerely, I just don't want to return to recent memory, on either part, and I believed PM's are one trigger point for us - I asked there, I'll ask here, correct?

I'm also not judging you here. Is it fair to say the issue of UN participation is more important to you than a foreign policy of militarism, globally?

I didn't see your response re: PMs. I had a good Obama/Wright article I thought you might appreciate and wanted to pass it along. Your loss.

That's good. Because from what I have seen in the nuke thread, I'm not the person whose morality should be on trial around here.

There is no difference between Obama and McCain on Iraq in my opinion, except their rhetoric. Obama has a near identical record to McCain on almost everything I loathe. Specifically the continued occupation of Iraq and the genocide of the Iraqi people. All Obama does, is talk good.

However, I know McCain is serving the neoconservative wing of the country, and they are not big on the UN. They believe in Pax Americana.

Obama on the other hand now has his own legislation where he puts the UN before the American people. And it's long been suspected that he is a closet globalist, with his wife being tied to the CFR.

The war bothers me in a very deep and personal way. But considering that I don't trust Obama to end the war, yeah, the selling out of our national identity and laws by Obama is a pretty big deal to me.

Unlike Bogart and Mia, I'm not interested in bashing Obama for his personality or personal issues. I think he's a lousy politician, and am seriously questioning if he is the lesser of the 3 remaining evils.

Sorry, it was sent to you. You must have missed it. To:

    Here it is:

It really was an attempt to maintain a level of peace in what has been an unfortunate history. If this was wrongheaded, sorry.

I'm not sure what you mean here, as I believe the use of WMD's was wrong, and discussed why.

The war bothers me too, in a very deep and personal way. In part, informed by my service in the military, actually; as I've served, I loathe the wanton bloodshed of our service people, as well as the innocents caught in the crossfire for such an egregiously wrongheaded venture such as this President's. We have a very different view as to Obama's plan, and McCain's plan, respecting same. We also have a very different normative view on involvement with international organizations. You're entitled to your opinion.

I like a lot of what guerilla posts and agree with about half of it.

I disagree with a lot of people but if I respect where they came to their opinions (like I do with guerilla) then it's all good. Someone like stealer on the other hand. That's really frustrating for me. It's hard for me to deal with folks who are blissfully ignorant. And there are a lot of these blissfully ignorant people in America. Folks who just don't give a darn for logical thinking and facts.

I think I probably agree with about 10% of Guerilla's posts. Not a big fan of being called psychotic, Class A nutjob, liar, sellout, thief of my son's future, etc., avoidance on issues, it seems to me, or inconsistencies on many issues - stands seeming to change, depending on the audience, from what I can tell - but yes, the 10% is food for thought, mostly concerning the Austrian School of Economics and the broader philosophy of science questions relative to social inquiry, derived from its basic premises (actually a primary interest of mine). See, it ain't all bad, Guerilla. :)
