Hi, I am hoping someone can give me some advice, I would like to buy some domains from someone but they said, and I quote... "but.. because you a new user, i will accept the paypal paymnt only if u pay then dispute payment and release it again, that way i know i get my money" I don't quite understand this as I have never done this. Is it legit.? I went to my Payoal account and they talked about credit card chargebacks. I do not use a credit card to fund my Paypal account. I can understand their concern about me being a new user and making sure that they get their money, but Then I have to wonder about getting my domains, don't I? Thanks for all your help, Mark
There has been alot of scams on DP lately with regards to chargebacks on paypal, and to be honest the DP memeber is sort of right although i dont quite understand. How long is he/she asking you to wait before the domains are released, if the member has been on DP a long time with many posts and alot if iTrader then i would say that you are safe, but if it were me, i would want them to have at least 2000 posts and minimum 25 iTrader (all positive).
According to their info..join date Nov.2007 220 posts and 8 iTraders. also they never mentioned how long I would have to wait....I think I answered my own question...If it doesn't feel right, don't do it!!!
emmm... how many domains are they and whats the asking price? How long does he want to make you wait, becuase to be fair, a charge back can occur even a month after a transaction.
18 domains $150... I actually think that he wants me to dispute it immeadeatly after payment then release it, but Then on my end I have no guarentee that they will be sent. BTW how do you 'quote' part of a text? I try but the whole message gets copied.
As for quoting thats simple just click the "quote" button on the post you want to quote. Ok, well that is something i have never heard of, starting a chargeback for no reason, that does not look good on you for a start. He only has 8 iTrader i recommend going with escrow, it will be safe for you and for the buyer. Recommend that to him and see what he says, he should have no problem with it if he is legit.
