Google's algorithms?

    Hi!

I used Google Webmaster and in the sitelinks section, it appears:

"Google has not generated any sitelinks for your site. Sitelinks are completely automated, and we show them only if we think they'll be useful to the user. If your site's structure doesn't allow our algorithms to find good sitelinks, or we don't think that the sitelinks are relevant to the user's query, we won't show them. However, we are always working to improve how we find and display sitelinks"

What I do not understand here is " if your site's structure doesn't allow our algorithms to find good sitelinks". Could you please explain me more about this? and how can I check if my site's structure allows the Google's algorithms to find good sitelinks or not? and please share me some experiences if you have.

Thank you very much for your kind help!
    Albert

I suggest reading google tips for making a SE site friendly, cause google bots does not recognize image links, or content under secure login pages, so try to make a sitemap.

Sitelinks are meant for ONLY premium sites and it's up to Google to decide on that. Out of the many websites I had in the past, only 1 showed sitelinks in the search results - a forum that had 80,000+ indexed pages and received 10,000 uniques/day.

Albert, having each section of your site in a named directory, with a consistent navigation menu, is probably what Google is looking for.

This is, as yet, the only sane piece of advice you've received so far. 99.9% of comments made on sitelinks are completely wrong and unlawful advice. I've got sitelinks showing for 2 sites now, and I'm becoming more and more aware of how to 'achieve' them:)

I run a network of many sites. :) The ones in my signature are merely a small sample. Our company is becoming very large.

Just make sure you have all links on homepage with http:// in front

You need to have excellent internal linking structure to get site links.

Also, you need to wait. And build backlinks.

I think, No one can tell you any way that will generate the site links. Only google knows it :)

All we can do is to have excellent internal linking and get back links, this is what I have heard from others in this forum.

"Premium sites"? Hmm, I hope so. :) In Google Webmaster Tools they're showing eight sitelinks for my site. But I have only 149 indexed pages and about 1,700 unique daily visitors — far below the numbers you listed.

I'm not sure on what basis I earned those sitelinks. If I had to make a wild guess I would say it's because in my niche, which is not highly competitive, I have a couple of dozen keywords on page one. So I do get a lot of Google SERPs-related clicks. Just a guess.

    Hi all!

Thank you so much for all of your advices. They are very helpful to me!
What I can do now is collecting what you suggested:

    - Look at the structure of sites that do have sitelinks
Yes, I looked at some sites and still do not know what structures they have and also do not know how to check if my site's tructure is good.

    - Read google tips for making a SE site friendly
I read some but it seems that creating sitelinks is still an open question.

    - Sitelinks are meant for ONLY premium sites
It is somehow true because premium sites attract a lot of visits per day so it is maybe better for Google to creat sitelinks. But this is not applied for all sites.

    - Having each section of the site in a named directory, with a consistent navigation menu.
I do not understand much about this and how to do this.

    - Have excellent internal linking structure to get site links.
This method is the easiest one I think :)!

So I will apply the above methods to check if I can improve my sitelinks.

Beside some big sites such as Digitalpoint (Please type: digitalpoint in Google) I also check some sites which have sitelinks but they are not premium sites, they even not big sites so I think there are still some hints to make sitelinks.
