Wordpress Theme for Better Adsense CTR

Friends,
I am searching for a better WP theme for my article blogs. The defaultWP theme didn't give me even 1% adsense. The current theme was free and gives 3-5% CTR but it sucks. I can't even change its sidebar. You can have a look at

Wow, you've got a lot of categories -- you may want to scale that down a bit.

Back onto topic, I should think CTR is a function of where you place your ads. Three column themes have the most flexibility (examples from themanbeast9 are good), but I've seen some very good ad placement on one and two column sites...you should experiment with what you have before making the change.

You have given a very good advice. Still, you'll surprise that clicks are coming in the current them (3-5%). Although ad placement is not better.

I used the WP default theme before the ads were placed similarly but the CTR was even less than 1% (most of days=ZERO). Ads in default theme were very targeted though.
Because of the large no. of categories this theme sucks. It doesn't have editable sidebar. Thats why I wanna replace it with another high CTR theme. Pls. suggest a tested theme.

 

All the themes especially bluesense is very good. I have chanegd new theme for my blog but ctr is still low. Now again reconfigured it, for next blog Ill be going for one of these themes.

3.5% is good... I wouldn't change it unless readers complain.

Listen man, for an article site you need a magazine theme to be honest. So download a good one. Like The morning after or options.

I dont think it helps much.

I changed all my sites from default ugly wordpress theme to all nice fancy themes. Only notice a minor increase in click through rate, and even that might have been a coincidence.

Check my theme its not better than the theme u r talking. But clicks are coming from the very first day i switched to it. If you have less than 3% CTR and interested in this theme, I'll send you the link to download. the theme is free.

Yeah but how long you been using it? It would take more than a month to compare stats.

 

Its been a month since I am using it. But because my CTR was near to zero, i got the results in 2-3 days. I think u need a week to get an idea if this theme is giving better CTR or not.

 

I don't see how that theme could do that. I changed to 5 different themes on 13 different wordpress blogs at the end of march and saw hardly any difference since then.

that I can't tell you. The probable reason is that theme should be worse enough to push the visitor's attention towards ads.

When a guy suggested me for the current theme, i was not impressed. But he assured that he got better CTR after he switched to this theme. I just gave it a try. And from the next day I was getting clicks. I hope this helps.

Yeah but the default them in wordpress is even uglier and the click through rate is poor on that one too.

the default theme is uglier too. but its so much familier that ads are clearly separated. but a new theme can blend them better. thats what I can say.
