I bet the guy proved the marinate worked by doubling $1 into $2. One more thing, if this Vietnamese guy is such an idiot then what's he doing with 180,000 kroner? It's hard enough to get that kind of money in a developed country. How many people have $35,000 worth of cash lying around?
I think some people can be very convincing, and come across as very genuine. Also if he was doing it properly he would have something set up to proove the claim, like as mentioned above doubling a notes somehow. He also could get someone else during the meeting to come and drop some money off installing the thought that if someone else is doing it, it must work and he should cash in. Con-people are clever people in general. Some in fact are masterminds. I do beleive this could happen and he prob isn't the first or the last that will fall for it.
Yeah but c'mon we all know the illusionists but that fact of the matter is if you see someone walking accross water do you actually believe you can. It is only common sense at the end of the day, thats what makes it soo amusing, honestly, do you really think that if a man is smart enough to get himself $35,000 he is going to lose it by thinking he could double it in that way. The only possible way i could ever see this con working is if someone was down on their luck and i mean down and it was for like 20 quid but even then far fetched. Somewhere above someone gave a direct link to the article and the bloke that was stopped said it was just an outrageous claim and even the old bill just don't belive it pmsl funny never-the-less
Missed, the link but My point stands I think people would fall for it. Also dumb people get cash too. Lottery, Inheritence, He could have been holding it for someone else. Yeah i agree it would take a fool to fall for it but we all know plenty of them
Makes me wonder what gave the bloke the idea in the first place and i wonder how many times he actually tried before he got someone to fall for it... damn the more i talk about it the less real it becomes... but your right! some people will just about fall for anything. In fact only other day my mate rang me up telling me how rich he was going to be, met some bird online living in africa and her father died and she just needed a bank account to wire the $1m into and they would split it 50/50 i think i said something like "i think you will find that this is a scam" he replied "nah deffinatley not, i spoke to her and everything its all good" i then said "google her and the number she gave ya to call and see how you get on" PMSL two days later.... "yeah it was a scam".... so the moral of the story i guess is people will just beleive just about anything i guess
