also you should start a thread on the general chat to warn other members. actually this thread probably should've been posted there, too. also give the scammer a negative itrader. mods are here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showgroups.php though from what i hear mods don't get involved in personal issues-- scams included.
In my experience DP staff are useless when it comes to scammers. They don't reply to PMs and don't do jack.
In my case, I reported the scam artist to the webmaster and provided links to the relevant thread and the users profile. DP webmaster dealt with it very quickly.
bingohoney there is no need to do that - I have just come online for the first in a week due to a family issue and will refund you the $100 in the next 10 days (I'm waiting for a check to clear). I'm certainly not a scammer or here to take money of people for no reason. My account may aswell be closed now, I have spent the last year and half building up a good rep and iTrader and it's just been ruined all because a family crisis meant I had to be offline for 6 days.
Your rep would not mean soo much with one bad itrader, and almost everyone here at DP that looks at iTrades reads the original thread, so if you pay back, you guys could post there the end result and Im sure everyone that looks at your iTrades will see/read that thread So dont take it too bad and try to solve the situation instead
