I don't know if this is a high income or low income by US standards but it is enough for any Indian. Endorsements= More than 15 major brands including Pepsi, Belmonte, Tag Huer, Nokia, HP compaq, Masterstroke, Emami, Lux worth Rs 140 crore per year TV show (Kya Aap Pacchvi Pass se tez hain) = Rs 1 crore per episode for 36 episodes = Rs 36 crores Films= Rs 6-7 crore per film at 2 films a year= Rs 14 crores Production company= Earned Rs 80 crore+ from Om Shanti Om (But I guess it has partnerships) His Knight Riders will also earn with time. So he earns about Rs224 crore a year from this data. WOW. Thats 6.5 crore US$ a year. Thats 65 million US$ a year. I wish I could be SRK. I know Hollywood stars probably earn a lot more. Post your favourite stars earnings here.
Here is he http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shahrukh_Khan Also search google with SRK or Shah Rukh Khan and you will find out
Lol... do you honestly think that anyone wouldnt consider 65 mil a high income? thats large by anyone's standards...
Richest man in the UK (and Europe) is Indian, Lakshmi Mittal. He owns the most expensive house in the world, in Kensington Palace Gardens, London, worth $128m. He has a personal wealth of $45bn.
Infact he is more popular than Tom Cruise. How they measured it I don't know. But Tom is known to 2.7 billion SRK is known to 3.2 billion http://economictimes.indiatimes.com...popular_than_Cruise/articleshow/2663555.cms:D
I know it is high. But still a lot of ppl has the tendency to show others that they are small. Like you see some post above says Bill gates earns 40$ a second. He is the owner of Microsoft. Who is comparing with him? And moreover I don't really have an idea how much things costs in countries like US. They cost much more than India I feel. For them maybe its not that high. Who knows what Tom Cruise earns a year.
I saw in the news that Ambanis (owners of Reliance) are building a house worth $2 billion. It has 27 storeys!
to give you an idea of relative wages, my friend worked in mumbai for the same company (and similar job) to myself (who worked in the Uk). He earned about 1/10th of the amount I did, and said that living costs were about 1/10th as well. That's just a rough idea, but trust me, 65 mil is still a lot of money for anyone!
