Is a conventional HTML website more profitable for Adsense publishers than a blog? It's sometimes claimed that websites have more `status' than blogs. If they really do have more status, could it be that advertisers are willing to spend more to advertise on them, which in theory will result in more Adsense income for the owner of the site or blog?
For adsense blogs or website both are good if you are having more traffic. Success of Adsense = traffic + high paying keywords+ optimum layout+ luck
For long term Website is good standing for adsense program till you stop, but blog, it's temporary. not stable. not be your own. Everything can happen al lthe time. Like me, more than 20 blogs was gone...with the wind
Well in the present days both site and blogs are same and how well you are making them always makes a difference.
There is no problem of using adsense... a blog and a website is regarded as the same by adsense... it just depends on the quality and quanity of traffic and clicks... however a wordpress blog is more preferable if you use a blog .. it takes lesser time to build.. however if you are thinking long term you can use a website custom made with new features too.. just concentrate on how you can build a good traffic in a good niche
You can use blog or website both are same when it comes to earning from adsense. Anyway, blogs are easy to maintain and you can easily add content. Thats why I prefer blogs.
Blogs are easily to be hacked by $##&%$. Websites have structure which exactly needed for selected tasks. Websites are much more easily optimize for heavy key words. If it is your website you can easily place it to many servers to survive during high load or server failure. So... my choice - websites.
both are same but unique content is needed for both of them without this all blogs and websites are garbage. that's why content is king.
I personally find websites to have a higher CTR because you have more control over the appearance and layout of the pages. Blogs are much easier to get traffic. It's just a matter of preference at this point I think...
not quite true sam, coz you can easily find a good blog template. Plus, in blog sites like wordpress, the SEO optimization is already done for you.
You could well be right. The only CMS I've personally used is Wordpress. While I used it shortly, I just didn't like that it looked like a blog no matter what template I used. People have told me Joomla can look much more like a static site. I actually plan to look into this for my next site. To me, heaven would be a static site (not just a couple of static pages) that had tagging ability built in for web 2.0.
Actually people have made a lot of constructive sites with wordpress which makes it look different from a typical blog. I have made sites which looks very similar to html sites with wordpress. Depends on how you modify it for your own needs. There is an option in wordpress to show a static page on the main wordpress page instead of the conventional blog which makes it easier for you to give some other looks to the website rather than a blog. Check out wordpress in detail and I am sure you would be amazed by the great functionality it has got.
