Girls don't think of money, they think of what Cars you have, how much disposable Cash you have, how many Credit cards you have and so on and so forth, they are more than capable of deeper thoughts than just cash.
money is linked with security - ie: are the the man to look after her, " are you marriage material " etc.
Nowadays, normal families are two income families, I doubt the girl really need the man to look after her.
It's true, many girls are gold diggers which is sad. But there are girls out there that aren't like that but it is harder to find those type of girls these days

Well i can tell you a lot about women: 1st of all, yes, do do care about money a lot. It's actually "inverse psicology". they will always tell you that they don't care about it, wich gives you the feeling of buying them something because she told you she didn't care, so you assume that she is not with you because of it. even, indirectly, you need money to be with a girl. She "doesn't care about the money", but if you don't take her out, don't buy her flowers and all that, she will say that you don't care about her, ergo, she doesn't care about money but you will be in trouble if you don't use your money to make her happy. Girls love guys that own a car, wich is bought with money.
