I want a logo designed for York Interweb Website Design. I am aware of the irony that a web design site needs a logo designing before anyone says anything, but I do really like the ideas that these competitions bring about. This is just for a logo, not a header or template in any way, and doesn't have to match any of the colors you see on the above site - it will be mostly for business cards actually, printed on a white background, so what you come up with is entirely up to you. The company Name is York Interweb, you may want to use the entire name ot just the initials, it's totally open to interpretation. The competition will end on Monday, May 9th at 7PM GMT.
if you are only needing a logo. A logo in buisness terms to me means just an image or icon thing that relates to a buisness A header which u might need, meaning u need an image with the name of your company slogan etc
Here's my try: (It's pretty simple but would look good on the back of a business card!) Feedback please!
They all look nice, I like the colors in ishiro's, and the style, the best so far, but I am more looking for an illustration type thing that might become recognizable even if you can't see the text, perhaps made up from the initials, or with the text around it, under it or over it, or not there at all. Sorry it's a bit vague, I'm hoping some of your ideas might spark more ideas till we fine tune it to a winning entry by Monday. P.S. cross posted with Crusherdotro, you are getting more into the right idea, making it illustrationy. I think I'd prefer a more flowing, organic shaped design though.
anidesign, I like the second to last one the best because of the interwoven bit, kind of fits with the interweb idea. So, so far I like the interwoven motif idea reflecting the interweb, and I like the person motif in theory's Y reflecting the people interacting or being brought together.
Okay, you might say it isn't, but to the untrained eye, and mine, I would say it's pretty damn near identical
xaralee, yours looks really professional, but I want to rely more on imagery than the text, I think with emphasis on an interweb/interwoven idea somehow. Abyss, yours is good too, but I want to shy away from images of computers for the logo because they can look outdated pretty fast, people might not even use a mouse anymore in a few years for instance.
Ok, good point, so what sort of image shoudl I put on there? And its not the best quality image btw. I just noticed
