I want to know, is it ok if someone sells text link ads on his website with "no follow" attribute, he is 100% safe then or will then also google pentalize you ?
Nobody is 100% safe when we're talking about Google. But generally speaking yes, you're less exposed at risk by using the NoFollow attribute.
Matt Cutts who works for google has stated that it's ok to sell links on your site as long as they are no follow links.
i think google is penalizing all paid text links regardless of dofollow or not. if you really want to make $$ on your site do some niche research, pick a topic and write good content, traffic will build and then either sell a product or put adsense ads on it. there, i just told you what 99% of the 'guru' books are selling.
With link selling it is possible to make serious $$$ even if you have not much traffic. Simple example. Recently I've bought 100 links from different sites with no traffic at all. My position in SERP have changed from 60 to 20 for very competitive key. I'm happy about SERP. The owner of these 100 sites is happy about $$$
Google's system is unable detect all links are paid links or not. So its staff need anyone help to report the paid links.
100% correct statement. You are 100% safe when selling links and adding "no-follow" there. Don't worry about getting penalized.
Google has no way of detecting if a link is paid or not. However there spies are getting smarter day by day and if you are using any 3rd party link sell services then they might detect easily. And don't' forget Google has very nice tool now which is called report literally lifted from Nazis who turned their own people to spy on each other. http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/how-to-report-paid-links https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/spamreport?hl=en Love it or hate it you gonna live with them..
But now their are many bloggers those have added links in their blogroll as friend how they can check everybody that is it your friend or not .
if you want safe: 1. put nofollow: 35% 2. put link as bottom as possible: 15% 3. put "advertiser" "sponsor" etc surround the link : 49% now: 99% safe
i think if you dont give direct then you are safe. You can give redirect url from your blog so that it appears for google as third party ad just like google adsense.
add "nofollow" to links that leave your site? Does that help ing search placement? Clarification: If I go to my page and change the out going links to "nofollow", without doing anything else, will my rankings increase?
