I have probably asked this before, but let's ask again since I'm probably going to start a proxy after all..

So, I am banend from Adsense. Which network should I use? Should be paying via check/Paypal.
Also, what hosting should I use? Cheapes possible that is WORKING and RUNNING well. Max ~$20.

    THANKS!

I would go with Bidvertiser & Kontera on your main page, then use Canep, Adbrite, Freedom of Ads, MediaShakers or Axill (turned me down, hear they pay well) on your proxy pages (CPM Networks). Use Global Interactive for pop unders as Adversal isn't accepting new applicants, unless you already have an account with them. Hope that helped.

You wont be able to host crap on $20hosting, i am bursting out of a $250 per month server.

Plus the proxy season is almost over, you probably wont even make your $20 per month hosting figure back before the summer comes :( sorry!

wrong, they use the same network but are not the same company, Global pays better. Bannerconnect also uses the same network, are they the same? Not even close, they pay the best out of the 3.

I know, I know say the word "legal" and people start to yawn
But I'm really concerned about bad people using my proxies, what they could do and what that could mean for me.

I felt that even though this thread is about proxies, this sort of talk is really not what this thread is about, so I started a new thread here:
    Web Proxy Legal Discussion
If anyone has some TOS or privacy page stuff to share please do!

It would be naive to think that companies like websense, bluecoat, sonicwall (and the other 40+ content filter companies) don’t spider threads on forums like this. They spider all sites on the net and categorize every site they find.

If you post a link to your proxy on a site like this you should expect it to be picked up by content filter companies within hours and blocked in all schools in less than 24 hours (when the filter lists update)

I have come into ownership of unblock.us and proxy.biz in the last couple of weeks.

I have parked one and made the other into a proxy topsite.

has anyone got some good ideas in terms of development and also traffic building.

I am not to sure about a proxy.biz topsite or perhaps a proxy forum.

ideas please.......as i am not sure which way to go.

    thanks

    Rob

Dollar: No doubt it would rank well. It does seem to have the word proxy in it more than your average website ;)

And with all the other words thrown in as well. Its gotta rank for something proxy related!!!

Seems more like it would be a information site related to the proxy biz. seems like a good place to teach people how to start, run, advertise, promote, edit yada yada. Would also be a good place to promote your own proxy ebook/s. Promote scripts and also hook up with the plugin, script and template designers for a commission type place where there product can be sold and get more exposure.

Dont think topsites are worth a crap too many and most have BS stats. Need to go outside the box.

Good response mate - Think I will work on a a kind of portal site for proxy.biz ( blog / commerce / promotion / templates / etc. Mr Bill gets it spot on again :p

    * Not bait or anything but if anyones interested in a partnership for proxy.biz * I am up for it! I am Uk based honest and lots of money to develop sites etc :)
