How does useing a social book mark tool increase your ranking?

    IMO I prefer Social Bookmark to attract visitors but it doesn't give too much weight in your rankings...:)

    i dont think it would help to improve your ranking must... Google would clearly know that such a link is unqualified

    i've always wondered this to..seems like those social bookmarking sites are a gimmic to get every other possible website to link to them by placing those widgets

    PR and rankings are 2 difrent things

    And social bookmarking are a waste of time in my book anyway most have nofollow links ...

    Bookmarking will surely help you...How its simple you will have number of back links from a well positioned website.

    All social bookmarking sites has good pr and they produce always a good content.
    So, you will have a good chance to get visitors from those sites too.

    good content equals, bookmarking from other users which essentially means free backward links. 1 per 'delicious' or 'dig' etc.
