kvm over ip

    Hi i was wondering how i can reboot my system using kvm over ip? it takes me to a video screen what am i suppose to do from there?

    log in, if you can't just do Alt-Ctrl-Del to reboot, its like being at the command prompt.

    Are you using any Terminal through KVM? If yes, you can just use the shell commands to reboot the server. Thought the root password should vary from KVM depending on your DC.

    not sure, i just have a screen then i pick my serrver, then it connects to my server and gives me a black screen with sqwigily lines on it, i dont think i can type anything

    Yes, you definitely be able to login to root terminal with KVM root pass. Contact your provider. They should assist you in this matter. According to your description, it looks like your KVM is lagging. Inform your provider to reduce the latency termination so that it asks less bandwidth.
