Good post! PPC is also an option. But of course you want to have posting activity while doing PPC or else the money will be mostly wasted because nobody will want to join if there is no activity to join. The best long-term strategy is probably SEO. Thanks, Scott

Link back to your site. * Keep a blog and get a regular writing gig on a popular site/blog in your niche * Start threads (and keep them going) on major topics that you find people searching a lot AND that have really long threads in other forums. For example, in the health niche, if you have a good thread going about Dr. Natura or colon cleansing, and it gets ranked...people are searching that info daily and want to her about others' experiences before they buy, or they want support while going through the cleanse. * Create some videos on a popular topic in your niche.
