My private webmaster tools account contains a section that lists external links to my site, showing the backlinks for each page separately. However, by some careful investigations, I have determined that these lists don't show all the backlinks that Google knows about. Instead, these are PARTIAL LISTS. Apparently Google is intentionally omitting some of the links it knows about. Does anyone know why a private account like webmaster tools intentionally restricts information in this way? Thank you
Would your careful investigation include reading the google webmaster help that clearly says it's showing a sampling of backlinks? They don't make any secret of it, most people just don't bother to read it. http://www.google.com/support/webma...nswer=55281&query=find+backlinks&topic=&type=
Well billy, on my side, i found, rel="external nofollow" links as back links, so i don't think so webmaster tools showing less back links... I am happy to use it... I got 1500 links in just a month in G Webmaster tools...
I would be happy to know how you used that tool to achieve that purpose. It is a good number of links. Did you use it to actually GET the links? KJ
