70,942 impressions, 129 clicks = $6.64

I am using Google as a filler for my Adbrite. Basically adbrite couldn't keep up or decided not to show ads everytime somebody visited my sites. So they said I could give them code from another ad company and they would put it in as a filler so if an Adbrite ad couldn't be shown, then it would use my Google code I sent to them.

So I just started using Google, and as I mentioned in the title, have gotten 70,942 impressions with 129 clicks from those impressions today, and their system only reports that I've made $6.64!

There is something wrong with these numbers right?

When comparing this to what Adbrite is paying and stats for today are this:

    132,535 Impressions
    133 clicks
    $37.48 made

Why is Google not paying me even close to what Adbrite is paying me? Do I need to set something more up? Do I need to give it more time and Google will auto adjust itself so that I do get paid better?

I'm just wondering if this is the best I can expect with Google, because if so, I'm seriously considering switching to another company and using them as my "filler" instead of Google.

Can somebody please shed some light on these Google numbers and what I should do or be looking into?

    Thank you!

Place the ads in a good place. And increase their number!

you get on avarage of 28 cents per click, which is not bad. but your CRT is very low.
CRT my depend on the placement and on your traffic type. If large part of your visitors are returning visitors or constant visitors, low CRT is normal. Look at Digg, all digg traffic is returning visitors, and diggers with AdBlock installed on firefox, as a result they get 700k-800k of impressions per day but around a 1000 clicks per day.
You have a something similar, may be you should work on ad placement and deal with it.

The same ad placement gets me paid a lot more with Adbrite, so how can it be ad placement? So these payout numbers are normal for Google? Because they suck when compared to what Adbrite is paying me. If Google can't pay the same as Adbrite does, or better, why would I use them?

I'm having a hard time understanding all the fuss over Googles Adsense, if this is the best they can offer me. So this payout won't go up per click and there is nothing I can do to increase what Google is paying me?

Moving the ads around isn't a choice. I said these Google ads were fillers. They are fillers to spots that are already working very well for me with Adbrite. I'm not going to "baby" my ads just so Google can pay me better when I can clearly see that it's not the ad placement at all, but it's Google.

My question is/was, is there anything that I can change (on Google's end / login system) to increase why I am being paid?

Would I get paid better if I found an ad company that paid for views instead of clicks?

first of, this question is the one to ask yourself, not us. You dont like them, then leave them. Quite clear, is not it?
this per click (around 28 cents per click) is pretty good. You have to increase your CTR to make more money, in this case.

the reason you get this low CTR with Google is because they have this thing called "smartprising", similar to "Quality Score" of AdWords. What it does is, it makes the sites with less quality traffic make less money. If Google thinks traffic of your site is not good, then it will do some tweaks to make you less money. Thats the thing they do to prevent MFA and those type of sites so that they are not profitable (and finally give up building MFA sites).

And in this case it looks they show less relevant ads on your site, to decrease CTR and to lower your income. Thats why you get more clicks/money from AdBrite.
It is really not clear what your real question is, because there is not just one. But I tried to help with all of those I had some knowledge about.
Try another adnetworks and see what happens.

    (btw, dont get too emotional)
