I've just been hired by a local company that runs an online African art store. They want me to do some work helping their SEO rankings, and driving good traffic to the site. I've been link building (just directories so far, but I am going to include social bookmarking sites as well soon), but are there any other things I can do to help wrangle in potential customers? I've done SEO for blogs & directories before, but I wasn't sure if I should approach marketing an online store any differently. Here's the website: http://www.mbare.com any help would be greatly appreciated.
Classified for sale ads could be your great choice. e.g. webcosmo.com Also you wanna try to get links from related blogs.
Write articles and submit them to Squidoo, Hubpages and Ezinearticles, they perform very well in terms of link building.
Would they be interested in direct advertising? I am in the process of creating a new site that that could send highly targeted Georgia traffic to them.
one of the best ways to obtain links is from submitting articles to article directories, but doing so by hand is VERY time consuming. outsource the writing of 5 - 10 unique articles on your website topic, then submit these articles to article distribution services like isnare, uberarticles and article marketers (they in turn submit to 1000's of article publishers and article directories) It is propably the best way to get incomming links and rank naturally in the search engines... so work it into your plan...
